My breakdown of Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s Pitch Arsenal and related comps for him. KevIn Gausman? Clayton Kershaw? Yu Darvish? Shohei Ohtani? Corbin Burnes? Are we nuts?
3 time sawamura award winner and one of the best pitchers in Japanese baseball history.

Expect to be like the prime Pedro Martinez
great discussion, any comps to Nomo's splitter?
Great breakdown..Love the comps, sounds like he was made in a lab and given some of the best pitchers pitches in the MLB..Cy Young Candidate for yrs to come? Lets get this Man on the Mets 😁
I expect Yamamoto to throw a few Maddux's next season.
While his pitches are different that Greg's arsenal, his control and ability to induce weak ground balls is something I look forward to seeing next season.
I do believe with a good MLB catcher and better infield defense, I will bet his pitch count will be lower in the MLB.
Love for Bauer too. He's the second best Japanese pitcher for MLB 2024.
My Angels should go all in on Bauer and Yamamoto!!!💯💯
As a NPB fan, only thing I am worried for him is the starting every 5/6th day which is more often than the once-a-week rotation in the NPB. But on the positive side, his TJ risk is also relatively low for a Japanese pitcher, he didn't pitch as much in high school compared to the likes of Tanaka, and his pitching form is not very traditional causing less stress on his elbow.
I noticed that an MLB ball differs from an NPB ball in shape/size/laces. Trevor Bauer mentioned the difference when he went over to NPB. Could it be why NPB pitchers aren't as TOP SHELF as they're expected to be when they arrive
woah what’s up with the waino shade😂it used to be 80 ok
this is the deepest international free agency in history probably
Yamamato stuff sounds sick.. then in a few years we will get Roki Sasaki .. Japan is producing some of the top players in the world… I love it!
I love the analysis, but the use of 'ungodly' as a positive is killing me. You don't have to be a sports personality who doesn't know what words mean. Say 'godly' – it's bombastic and hyperbolic, but at least you're not making an ass of yourself.
Sengas fork still confuses me when i see it
Im so excited to see this dude pitch next year
Japan's pitching talent right now is insane. They have a rotation that includes Ohtani, Roki Sasaki, Senga, and Yamamoto.
This man has a video game arsenal
Every ball he throws is perfect.fastball,fork,curve,etc. I’m looking forward to his success.
Discounting NPB stats is so silly to me. People call is "quadruple A". They think it's above AAA. A 1.21 ERA in "AAAA" is still absolutely insane.
New to the channel. Sick hat, and yeszur I subscribed
Mark Prior would do wonders for Yamamoto if he went to the Dodgers.
I’m hoping he chooses Seattle, he has 4+ pitches. And Seattle is possibly looking into going to a 6 man rotation which will fall in line with what he’s used to so far
So…. Which teams gonna land him?
