The Scottish population is very small . With this in mind the ability to provide quality skillful youth players is severly restricted . At club level many of the youth players are energetic and willing to learn . Clubs need to change their approach to a more skill based training rather than height and strength . The Scotland manager is terrific playing a passing, skills based game . Scottish clubs need to alter their youth coaching staff who are skills based allowing confidence to bloom. Failure to do so will result in the same old status quo …. loss in domestic and European football !!

I’m a 77 year old season ticket holder and if I’d known he was coming back to Celtic Park I wouldn’t have renewed my season ticket, he’s come back and he’ll be lucky if he wins the league again, and to be honest he’s not getting the backing from the board, so he’ll probably do a runner again. But it’s not all his fault but the biscuit tin mentality of the suits to blame, if the Celtic are to progress in Europe they have to spend money and asap.
I don’t watch enough football, but can somebody tell me when Roughie got rid of his perm?
As for Rodgers he should never have been brought back a 2nd time and board are to blame for going back in for him after such ..A dispicable board . And i hope he Rodgers gets shown the door and sacked as he was at Leicester sacked

As for Kyogo he is certainly not European quality and just fine for Spl and the japanese league ..he wouldnt cut it in EPl at all
as some Celtic fans think as is too weak he misses many easyish chances also . Celtic need in a striker with physique and should have even kept Giakamakis but not . Celtic have sold Jota their best footballer and raked in many millions for such and also sold Giakamakis and when you sell your best front me then only one outcome is failure
But defence is most in need from new goalie for Harts place and left back and another new cback possibly although ones in are out injured i dont think they are that good Lager guy or Nawrawski but time shall tell but Cbacks out injured so long why ? not broken legs or such so must not be tough or strong enough ..Why i say bring in another better with spending more nd one brought in with experience of European football . Also a Midfielder with some physique is in need and pay for such
and a Striker one who gets stuck in and can head a ball well also and pay out for 3/4 more quality is in need for Celtic .
As for board and whats been mentioned your spot on re cut squad as a good number of players are not contributing anything at all with McCarthy worst of them all ..But others also as should be taken out of club altogether ..and trim wage bill to aid other better players in door . As for Aberdeen they done well to battle back from 2/0 down and what a goal their 1st was from far out into top corner of net , was some shot and goal fir the Dons . So they done ok and conditions were tough in Helsinki with snow ..Celtic and rangers poor .

I'm "content" with Rodgers being manager, but he'll probably just stay 2 years if we can't progress in Europe

I could see Rodgers becoming England manager in the summer. Southgate will likely leave. There are no English managers likely to take the job who the fans would want. Howe would stay at Newcastle. That leaves foreign managers and the FA are likely to want someone who knows PL players after the Capello reign. Pep and Klopp won't leave club giants. Mourinho is too divisive and would fall out with the FA within weeks. Who is left that knows PL players? Rodgers is the right sort of age, has experience of the league and has some successes beside failures. I don't think a top manager takes an international job these days if they are at a club giant so that leaves the rest.
The Title of todays show only proves Peter has spat the dummy,there’s no way BR will be sacked or walk away. The Board will get him the Quality he wants in the January window with Vardy and Vestergaard from Leicester the first 2 in the door in early January
Clement perfectly justifies why he substituted Cantwell. I understand the argument about taking Lammers off instead but he wasn't happy with Cantwell because he wasnt following instructions. The manager was absolutely correct in his decision. If anyone has been a manager in any industry, you'll understand.

Its difficult for Celtic in the Champions league you cant expect the Celtic board to spend millions on one or two players and then not qualify it's too much of a gamble. Celtic and Rangers are at best Conference league at this time and Aston Villa are in this tournament. I think Celtic are doing the right thing by saving their money for the the future when they will probably spend a fortune – its a gamble that might pay off. I think Rodgers will be part of that.
Do you really think Kyogo is good enough for Europe ?
