I finally had a lesson with Dan Grieve, one of the best short game coaches in the world. Dan really helped fine tune my short game in this video and I’m sure it will help a lot of you out!
Make sure to check out Dan’s short game book if you haven’t already, it’s a game changer!
Hope you enjoy, Gaz!

In even such a simple movement, Dan looks so fluid and Gaz not so much. The same feeling happened to me in a lesson I had years ago…they are pros in the simplest of actions..
At 19:28, watch Dan's head move. Use the tree in the background as reference. Back and up…6 inches during the shot?….funny game…
See the wear spot on Dan's wedge. I thought pros switched out their wedges periodically for fresh grooves.
Im very much a tactile learner and love this type of video spot on thanks
I feel like I should be paying 20 bucks to watch this video LOL. Matter fact I almost feel bad watching Dan Grieves instagram videos for free hahah. Dan's the Man.
I love this video as there’s lots of good advice. However the biggest thing for me was what was said about grip pressure. I was told that I gripped the club too firmly which decreased the release of the club. I then fitted midsize grips on all my clubs and ball striking has improved massively. May be something to try for all those that struggle with grip pressure. Good video Gaz and well done on the win last week at Wentworth BMW. ⛳️🏌🏼♂️👍
Hi bud you should try super speed golf and try to get to 120 clubhead speed you would be a beast
Magistral🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Bravoooo
To control launch something not mentioned is the ball… got to use same ball.. harder balls will fly higher than pro V1
Lucky to find yr block! This is pro coaching for a good 🏌️♀️ player. Thank you for sharing ✌️
Blog, haha
Keep coming back to this video after buying his book just to help visualise the set ups better. An absolute cracker of a video Gaz. Dan is up there as one of the best for sure. Already shaving shots off my rounds. Great content!
This is the first video I`ve seen on your channel! It`s world class! Thank you so much for sharing!! Best from Germany
Solid gold. Great video.
Lots of short game coaches, this seems quite first class in presentation, technique and results- 😊 thanks for sharing
Dan do you only do short game – I’d love you to explain the different releases through the bag and how the right hand /wrist actually does or doesn’t release the club or if it does when
Cool beans!
What an excellent lesson !!!!!
Wow! Certainly the best instructive golf video I’ve seem for ages. What a lesson! Off to buy the book now.
What is the Bounce on Dan's 56 degree Wedge? I've got a 12 bounce on mine!
Great video Gaz. I found golf in my 30s and love it with a passion like yourself. I wish I had taken it up when younger
Fantastic. Learned so much.
Your best student? Your instructions are the bomb you rock!
Best short game teacher I have ever seen.
Ive found a new short game coach BRILLIANT
His name is Dan Grieve. Not Dan Grieves – as in Jimmy Grieves. You could at least respect the guy enough to actually know his name.
language barrier
Superb eye on setup, problem analysis. Pelvic turn, not a toppy
Shoulder tilt!
Dan is the one and only pitch and chip coach I will listen to!! Absolute best!!! Listen and practice and instantly see results
This great. I saw the one with RS also. The problem I have is the grass you're hitting off of is better than the greens I play on, lol. It needs another 1" longer grass to emulate my conditions.
When practicing and doing each of the three releases, how much do we generally open our clubface for each release.
Class from coach and student there! Great insight into the absolute worse part of my game and probably most average to high handicappers 💪🏼
My new follow I wish I was living closer. This is sooo good
Thoroughly enjoye "attending" this lesson. Lots to think about and practice. Thx!
Everything you showed results in scoring around the green. Well done. It’s magic. I really appreciate the soft sand lie, and hard sand lie and the technique for both. Thanks for the lesson. I will be able to score better.
wheres this great short game area
