Philippe Clement Refrains from Commenting on Ryan Kent Rangers Return Speculation Amid Fenerbahce Loan Rumors

In a recent press interaction, Rangers manager Philippe Clement tactfully avoided discussing the swirling rumours about a potential return of winger Ryan Kent to the club. Kent, a 27-year-old English footballer, had previously left Rangers at the end of last season to join the ranks of Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce. However, his journey there has been marked by limited game time this season, fueling speculation about a possible re-signing with Rangers, possibly on loan, come January.

The speculation gained momentum as reports hinted that Rangers could be eyeing a swift move to bring back their former playmaker. The club is set to face Aberdeen in an upcoming match this weekend, and the pre-match media session turned its focus to these transfer rumors.

Clement, a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in football, skillfully steered away from the rumors. He highlighted the unpredictability and complexity inherent in player transfers, indicating his preference to abstain from discussing speculative scenarios. “I’ve been in football more than 30 years, so many things can happen before a player is in or out of a building. It’s of no use to talk about rumours with me,” he stated.

The Rangers manager further clarified that his policy is to only speak on matters that are concrete and realistic, firmly stating that he would not be drawn into discussing the specifics of Ryan Kent’s situation. This approach underlines Clement’s commitment to focusing on tangible and confirmed aspects of team management, especially in the volatile transfer market.

As the transfer window looms, Rangers fans and football enthusiasts will be keenly watching for any developments. However, for now, Clement’s focus remains firmly on the team’s immediate challenges, leaving the transfer rumors to play out in their own time.

  1. Angers fc never learn…Kents a dud…an expensive mistake…so lets him back,,,so we can make a fk up all over,,,ps how much did he go for? £00000. MMMmm wonder why?

  2. i totally agree with Tam. I think refereeing has changed because of VAR. Games are now refereed microscopically and in slow motion so the rules need to change to keep up with this. So I think offside needs to change so if any of the attacking player is onside even just a fingernail then he's onside. The advantage should be given to the attackers. I also think maybe fouls should only be assessed in real time and not in slow motion.

  3. Is there any objective evidence that shows that there are fewer mistakes in big decisions? I keep hearing that, but I don't see it in watching the games.

  4. Think Clement could probably get a tune out of Kent but we are doing ok with Sima and Matondo is nearly fit again.

  5. Please take him back on his day he really is as good as ronaldo for 5 minutes of step overs at least, gets bums off seats and right back on them.
