  1. Nice to see some beginner content! But I think you’re missing the Mako3, the Proxy and the River.

  2. I like the video (besides that the Berg should obviously be a top A-tier disc), but two excellent beginner discs you in my mind missed are the Mako3 and the River.

  3. Both me and my wife are new to disc golf (a couple of months). We both like the river from latitude 64. Flies straight and far (for us as beginners) on a flat backhand release and hyzer forehand relase.

We found that there is quite a difference in stability in a 165 gold river vs a 176 opto river. Obviously the 176 opto river is heavier and stiffer, but you can also clearly see the difference in dome just holding the disks up next to each other. My wife very much prefers the 165 gold, i like both, depending on the weather.

  4. tier list idea: rank distance drivers into to tiers based on armspeed required. Like categories being anyone can throw, 300+,350+,400+, and pro level.

  5. Funny; my son and I went to an MVP space race a few weeks ago and everyone (beginner to advanced) hated the Paradox. My son did ace with his though….

  6. The Discraft Zone or some kind of overstable approach disc should be on this list. Works for all skill levels imo as it will teach you to learn unique shots as you develop arm strength

  7. I stopped watching after Trasher and Hades. Why would anyone recommend those for beginners? Both Trasher and Hades are stable until 330 ft and how many beginner throws that?

Or distance should be mentioned in the same sentence to describe for what distances discs are good for. Starting distance so where disc is no longer very overstable.
Buzzz is better for beginners than Hades or Trasher? That is ridiculous. I wouldn't put even Astronaut before Buzzz and I don't recommend Buzzz for beginners.

  8. My only problem with the paradox is that once you start moving into the intermediate range it's a lot more of a utility disc. Why throw a super touchy hyzer flip which is likely to roll over on a narrow straightaway when you can just grab a straighter disc like the hex and throw it flat? Everyone loves hyzer flips but they are a finesse shot with more points of failure than a standard throw. Past a certain point the Paradox becomes useful for players who don't have a forehand and that's primarily it. A Hex or Buzzz SS could be your favorite and most used disc of all time. For that reason, I would swap those. The Paradox is a good disc and great teaching tool but it settles into more of a niche role quickly.

  9. I don't know who was beating on the microphone through the first few minutes of this video, but it made it really hard to watch.

  10. You're missing the Westside Underworld which, speaking as a beginner, is absolutely S tier in my books. Also the Fuse is literally the only disc I can consistently throw straight, thus S tier too. Don't agree with Glitch as S tier. While fun to throw, it's got a totally unpredictable flight path with even the slightest wind….

  11. i just got into disc golf a few months ago. One thing I will say is price and availability are not important to me as I order online and can find disc. So if you eliminate those 2 criteria.(I spent about $500 on all the discs i wanted to try). The best discs in my bag right now are as follows in their speed slots: Bolt -13, Hades and Destroyer – 12, Scorch and Star Wraith -11, Avenger SS -10, Thunderbird -9, Meta Essence-8, Underworld and Cicada -7, Crave -6.5, Origin, Mako3, Hex, Pathfinder all similar-5, Tactic and Zone and Toro -4, Pure and Logic -3, Judge and link and depth charge -2, Glitch -1.

  12. My glitch warped immediately. Left it out on my porch under a massive box to flatten it out over the summer. Pulled it out in September and it was perfect, flat as a board and back to new. Played one round, and it being in my bag with other discs caused it to warp again. Legit my least favorite disc unless you just want to use it as a catch disc. its great for that.

  13. I started with a Proxy and Hex combo and I think that's a fantastic beginner lineup. Now I think I'd go with the Watt maybe as a first putter (which feels like a usable Glitch to me), but I was sad to see no Proxy or Watt in your lineup. (Granted, the Watt is still barely in circulation…)

  14. No Prodigy discs ?

The M4, F7-9 and H7 are smazong discs – maybr even in the Air variants where available 😎 judt recently gave Prodigy a true chance and oh my god do i love them ! A total line up, amazing plastixs AND true to flight numbers wothout requiring a beating up for 3-4 months

  15. The best thing about the aviar for me is coming from ultimate frisbee it has the most similar feel and flight for me

  16. European here. Kastaplast is very affordable here. Infact it is some of the cheapest premium plastic out there. That being said, europe is generally pretty expensive, so it is not cheap per se.

  17. I finally got a Diamond this summer, and while I have to be careful not to turn it over, I think the DIAMOND belongs on the Swanky level, it really is ‘easy distance.’ My friend and I both have Sails and we both love them. I can understand how you guys could be confused by it though. I am surprised you did not have the Innova ROC in there. It was suggested to me by a better experienced player and it was a great addition. I also think the BUZZ is a good beginner disc, as long as one knows it finishes with some useful fade. Somehow I thought the SS in buzz SS stood for Super Stable, not Super Straight, oops.

  18. Surprised the Buzzz wasn't S tier. Not sure if it still holds the claim of best selling mid, but I know Discraft has advertised that for awhile. Every pro for Discraft bags multiples, it makes it in the bags of open players, and it's just one of the most solid straighter mids for a reason. Fun llist tho

  19. Nice , i ´m a beginner and love the saint and river, and have a lot of difficulty throwing paradox and really love comet also

  20. You guys do a best fairway or best mid range kinda pointless cause no one but James Conrad only has 1 mid in his bag. Yous should do a what are the best combo mids in the bag like I carry 5 deflector, Pyro, hex, uplink and paradox. I know it will shrink when the get beat in and then only replace the over stable ones but best combos and do like a beginner, intermediate and pros version. Just a thought.

  21. Sapphire is cool. I have an opto155 one that's now understable, it flies like a hades but hesitates to comeback/fade. I have another Sapphire that's gold 163 and it has zero turn and nice fade. Sapphire is really good. So is the hades. Also the avenger SS, esp is almost dead straight for me

  22. I just think that most players watching your videos are in the intermediate range. Like the guys who throw 300-375
