ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

1. How to stop slicing your driver

3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

  1. Emirates Golf Club? You’ve got Andy carter at the els for a beer. Maintaining my central position, and not rising up in the back swing to turn further, have been brilliant for me. Oh and turning not thinking I’m turning 😀😀😀

  2. Hi Danny, brilliant as always. Any chance you could do something as detailed as this with driver please? I have an issue with my lead hip coming round too early instead of towards the target initially, leading to heel strikes.

  3. I tried your tips from last weeks video and whilst I don’t slice much these days I can be out to in if I don’t get enough depth in the backswing. After applying your tips not only driver but my striking has improved throughout the bag. Excellent thanks.

  4. I know all this full well and can consistently hit the ground in the right place with practice swings, however as soon as there's a ball there my stupid brain does something stupid and I'll hit it fat. Most frustrating.

  5. Well done Danny its freezing 🥶 here today in Yorkshire but I will still be working on my swing 👍 😊

  6. Hi Danny – enough information in your latest video to keep me busy on the range for the next three months so thanks for all that and now have specifics to work on! 👍

  7. Hi Danny, this is just what I needed. Easy to follow and understand. Keep them coming for us high handicap golfers.

  8. What a great video, Danny! The graphics make the instructions even more easier to understand. 👏

  9. Another great show Danny, have just purchased a decent divot board from Forbes so I can get to work on this in the warmth of my front room,
    Keep them coming mate.

  10. Thanks for videos. Might it be better align ball position relative to say persons neck or whatever depending on iron used in a similar vein as saying lowest point is under arm? Advice as to choosing set of irons? I am 70 but club fitting showed graphite shaft no advantage( 7 iron 136yards using steel shaft). !!

  11. One of my problems (fat shots) tried everything but still keep doing it….(my frustration level is high)…

  12. Dan. One of the biggest discoveries for me recently is that when I look at my low point I use my dominant eye, which for me is my right eye. This has helped me massively from hitting fat shots.

  13. Danny, in my honest opinion, your methods of instruction are so much more effective than a PGA professional.
It’s crystal clear, simple to understand and follow, and the overall experience is it gives us club golfers or anyone else for that matter, a load of confidence.
The only requirement now is we need to practice these methods and techniques!

  14. Great video. Thank you. Love the graphics. The blue arches and such. Great visual. By the way….where the heck are you in the opening segment? I know your not home. I know your not here by me. Its too warm. Lol. Hopefully your on vacation.

  15. Brilliant as always Danny. As someone who's started chunking my irons recently I'll gladly take this advice!

  16. Hi Danny, question, you did not mention where you focus you eye on the hit point. Why?
Am I supposed to be looking at an over view of the swing? I used to look at the back of the ball. I’m hitting the back of the ball right? Then I smartened up and focused on the front of the ball. It helped my ball striking.
I’m talking many years ago. Your lesson goes way further thank you.

  17. If your toes look like you can swoop down and snatch your dinner from a river, don’t wear sandals. 🦅🐟

  18. Danny, I've been watching your videos for a few years and I've got to say you are an excellent coach. You always go into great detail on the 'set up' and 'address' but so far as I can remember you never mention how far to take your stance away from the ball. I am always hesitant when setting up to feel comfortable and consistent over the ball. Is there any tip you can give to do this taking in to account, age, height and shaft length of club. Keep up the good work and thank you.
