  1. Great honest review! The Stealth just looks so much better to me. Do you find an issue holding greens with the 7/8 irons given their jacked lofts?

I took my old set of RAC irons out last week and although they were 15 yds shorter per club than modern irons, I kind of liked being able to hit mid irons at the pins and get some stopping power.

I think TM are doing a good job with value. 4-PW are working out at £840 here in the UK, around £100 cheaper than equivalent Ping and Mizuno.

  2. I went 2 weeks ago for an iron fitting (switching from players irons to game improvement, because who doesn't want to make golf easier?) and it was between the Stealths and the Mizuno Hot Metal Pro. Ended up going with the Stealths because they were just better all the way across the board for me (dispersion, ball speed, distance, and even for me were on par or better than the Mizunos on feel). Definitely agree with your review, great feeling, consistent, forgiving, great looking set, and I'm looking forward to getting mine in so I can go give them a true test!

  3. How do you think the PXG 0211s stack up? My biggest concern is I’ve never hit the PXG clubs and I can’t find anywhere in my area that has them in stock. Buying them online without ever hitting them worries me. I have been able to hit both sets of taylor made irons though.

  4. Save your $ (saying this 10 seconds into video) and now that videos over, im still saying save your $ i paid 1200 for my sim2 irons last year but they came with better shafts.

  5. I hope that come out on top in the forgiveness category over the Rouge Max OS, Ping G425 and Cleveland Launcher XL because I do love the look – although the Rogue is no slouch in the looks department either. Too bad they do not have a SGI Stealth OS version too. Still though, I can’t wait to hit these. Nice evaluation as usual.

  6. Great review. Are there good game improvement irons without lofts jacked? I want the forgiveness but don’t really need the distance.

  7. Your video is SPOT ON!! Ive been gaming the Sim2 Max OS irons since August of 2021.
Loved the way the STEALTH irons look for sure, but considering price point and distance gained, I will keep my Sims. Paid $947 for 4-SW. Bought the driver used but almost new for $399.
I couldnt be happier. Hcp went from 19 to a 9 in a year almost. Sold my SPIDER putter for a EXO INDIANAPOLIS. More headweight has given me better distance control on my putts.

  8. Enjoy your reviews, per this one: 1. reducing spin for more distance is not "better", esp on hard greens in the summer. Increasing front/back dispersion doesnt reduce scores. 2. How would you compare Sim2 vs Apex DCB? Cheers f AZ, ex Bloomingdale member!

  9. The stealth line is insane crazy the products Taylormade keeps dropping and I’m a apex iron guy but rocking the driver and 5 wood unreal results. Considering looking into the mg wedge from the vokey

  10. I think it might also be added that getting fitted into the Stealth might be a bit easier although there are probably still enough Sim2s in stores right now but the numbers will wane over the next few months. After that you are going more into the used market for the Sim2s which may or may not fit someone if they aren't a totally standard type of hitter.

Surprisingly, for me at least, I switched from the Sim2s to a set of P790s earlier this year. I liked the Sim2s but for some reason never hit them as well as I thought I should. Maybe i took the 'forgiveness' aspect too much for granted but for some reason I just never felt completely comfortable with them. I picked up a set of used P790s for my son and one day decided to try hitting them instead of the Sim2s. For some reason I hit them much better. So my son, who is pretty much a beginner is hitting the Sim2s and I kept the P790s. I hit them well, really well. Not quite as far as the Sim2s but more consistently and more in line with my gapping between 3H and PW.

For the first time in almost 25 years breaking 80 with some consistency is a real possibility. My last five rounds have been sub 85 and I shot 80 once. For a single digit handicapper that is a 'big deal' thing but for someone getting back into the game after a 20 plus year layoff I am pleasantly surprised.

  11. Pxg gen 3 xp super good deal. Same or less than stealth and forged soft feel. Similar loft also. Or just go g5. You loved the mp225 Mizuno also? Rogue pro? 🤷‍♂️😊

  12. Love the reviews. You sure have a lot of great gear. You are blessed to be able to buy new stuff so frequently. When I bought new irons this year I told the wife they will last me ten years. We will see haha

  13. The distance category is for high handicap player something what most of these player probably want. But the clubs with strong loft is not something what I am looking for. I looking for clubs that gives me workability, forgiveness and the right gaping between my woods and wedges.

  14. I really enjoyed your last couple reviews of the PXG/Taylormade lines. With the exception of a few years that I’ve played, I have had Ping and Mizuno for a few years. I know there are some very nice and good quality irons to be had, But It seems that I alway gravitated back to the Hogan line which I started playing with some 45 years ago. Keep the videos coming I always enjoy all your content/ opinions!

  15. Great video! In your opinion, how often should the average golfer (plays 18 twice a month) upgrade irons or any club for that matter?

  16. Irons should look timeless to me, I wouldn't be able to stand buying a brand that completely overhauls their designs every year while generating the feeling that you have something old already. Sometimes even soon after your recent purchase of the previous design.

  17. GOT MY STEALTHS TODAY ordered them custom made 6 days ago and they arrived at my door today….so of coarse i had to go do a round of golf…OH MY I LOVE THEM straight and a club to a club and a half further than my PXG Gen 2 SGI irons…and nice soft feel….love love love them….cheers from Canada

  18. I just picked up a used set of the Sim 2 max, couldn’t be any happier! Got a 5-P,A,S! They are very forgiving and buttery smooth when hit right! I was hitting my 7 iron 200+ feet at my fitting! Tried them on the course today, were amazing as well and was hitting my 5 iron farther than my buddies drivers. Saved a bunch of money by not getting the stealth’s although I did like how the stealth’s felt at the fitting and if money was no obstacle, may have been my choice. Granted I require a +1 length and a stiff flex, so getting a new set adjusted would’ve been more time and money, while the used set was ready to go right away! For now the sim 2 max serve me perfectly and I am in love! Also, I don’t know why everyone says the sim 2 max are ugly, I think they look super cool!!

  19. im a new golfer was able to pick up a used set of stealth irons for 570$ went out to use them and i love them

  20. It has been some time since I last purchased a new set of irons, been struggling with this decision as I gear up for this season… Found a half dozen reviews on this topic prior to stumbling onto this video and have to say this was by far and above the most informative and believable review I have yet to see comparing these two excellent choices. Non-biased, authentic real-life usage and data to lay it all out in sensible categories, not too short, not too long, just nailed it… Said another way, YOU DA MAN! Subscribing…

  21. Is this a good first name brand choice for irons? I’ve been using top flight just to get familiar w the game for a little over a year.

  22. Hit the Sim2 in a simulator and was bombing a 7 iron way past all other irons I tried. Thanks for the review.

  23. Ive been going back and forth between these sets for the longest. The stealths are still $1k but ive seen sim maxs in the mid $600 range to $700. You think for $400 ish dollars more the stealth is worth it or should i get the sims

  24. Just tested the stealth versus Callaway paradigm and there was no difference in performance despite the obvious price differences. However, Stealth no better than my old m2 irons.

  25. Yesterday I purchased a set off SIM2's 4-PW and topped up with Stealth SW AW 3DUI (replacing my 20 years Wilson set). Retained my Taylormade R15 Driver and Aeroburner 3 Hybrid in the bag also.
