One of the biggest areas of need for the New York Knicks has to be front court depth. Other than Julius Randall they have to rely on Josh Hart at the back of power forward position and spot minutes when Randall heads to the bench. However, according to reports Charlotte Hornets star Gordon Hayward may potentially become available at the trade deadline, which can help fill a position of need. Also, RJ Barrett may be a top candidate for the Most Improved Player award this season. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

Gordon Hayward is 6'7 in sneakers. He is not a power forward. RJ is taller than him in sneakers.
Tibbs can go like Gordon Hayward somewhere else. He has the rest of the season before his contract is up Gordon. Hayward hasn’t been the same ever since his injury a couple years ago when he was on the Celtics.. i’m not wasting pieces and draft picks

If Thibs convinces Leon Rose tp trade for this washed up player I'm done with Thibs and this front office who still havnt made a Block Buster Trade yet to get us a bonefilde all star after hoarding all these draft picks and young assets we have. I like this move. Fournier + salary filler(maybe McBride) + protected 1st rounder or 2nd round picks. This would help give shot creation when RJ/ Randle/ JB are injured or when IQ has his off nights. Even if he is injury prone, we just need him to fill in the games when any of those guys are injured. Just reduce RJ's bench minutes, and some of DDV and JH minutes
The thing I don’t understand is how is RJ Barrett a candidate for most improved???? He averaged 19.6 points last season and 21 points now !!!!!!!!

Gordon Hayward is Trash🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ it figures Thibs would want him. Picture that, bringing in a 33 year old with a history of injuries seems like something the Knicks would do. Also, RJ as a most improved is ridiculous 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ we are 11 games into the season. RJ was almost a bust. It’s taken his 5 years to look decent after being the #3 draft. Go back and look at his draft class and see how many players are better than him. But I digress, the biggest problem with this Knick team is Thibs. You have to be a Thibs type player to be on the Knicks and that is a problem. Thibs does not utilize the players strength. That’s a problem. Example Obi is Starting, Reddish is Starting and the Knicks need a wing. But you had 2 of them. You could have used one of them. Also, I say Obi or Reddish have a better shot at most improved than RJ. We have a bunch of undersized guards filling out our roster and it’s all Thibs fault because we have to get Thibs guys. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ Sorry rant over I just hate wasting another season under Thibs and striving to be a mediocre team.
