Florida Gators Suffer Dramatic Loss to Arkansas in OT… Now Prepare for LSU!

The Florida Gators suffered their first-ever home loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks 39-36. As the Gators move to 5-4 on the season, they will look to rebound against LSU a team that has had their number each of the last fours seasons and eight of the last 10 times.

How will the defense rebound? And can Florida stop a potent offense from LSU, that could be missing their best player?

  1. nick is absolutely right – death valley is an amazing environment just dont go in gator gear unless you are prepared to be verbally abused

  2. If Mertz runs out of bounds 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage with out throwing the ball away!!!!!! SMH 🤦‍♂️

  3. Week 10 (!!) and we are STILL moaning about lack of followthrough on tackles and special teams f*ckups – way past time to start naming names and holding folks personally accountable.

  4. Armstrong needs to have more simulated defensive drills in practice, then review it in "film study" after practice, and show the defensive players what they should be doing.

  5. Great Pod fellas.. I agree with Nick that using the “young” card is up after this season. However, we can’t overlook the constant change Florida has had for the past 3 years, and expect consistency.
    2021-Grantham
    2022-Toney
    2023-Armstrong

    2021 E Jones
    2022 A Richardson
    2023 G Mertz

Consistency can happen in 2024, so long the team remains in tact and Florida only loses Pearsall and Princely.

Napier and Company needs to address the portal, with a HURRY, this offseason and build up the walls on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

  6. one thing to consider is Hocke. Guys on defense were in position and just got bullied. I know its not common for head coaches to get rid of strength coaches. But I think this is a coach that should be evaluated in the offseason. Both sides of the ball get bullied way too often.

  7. Definitely need help on o line , the recruiting is the issue , need to get a stud recruiter there , 2 o line coaches that we have isn’t working , we also need more at receiver to get open and get separation

  8. Offense is nit the problem. Scoring 33pts should win at least 90% of your games. Lets focus on holding the other team to less than 24 points.

  9. Sure silk, everyone has those problems, but when you’re already relying on freshmen and inexperienced players, that aspect matters WAY MORE than “everyone else around the country”

  10. I think Napier is the most head scratching coach since Jerry Faust and I’ve been miserable about the program since he was hired but, unless Jacquez Green stole your woman, there is no reason for a Gator fan to ever raise their voice to him.
