How to Hit MONSTER Drives | Creating Separation in the Transition

Click Here: https://bit.ly/3rlYYVr to get my 3-part full-swing training series that will help you tap into a level of power and consistency you didn’t know you had. And the best part? It’s completely free!

In today’s video we’re going to learn how to hit longer drives.

To hit long drives, you need a long backswing. This is because the driver requires a lot of time to accelerate and generate the club head speed necessary to launch your ball.

The key to making a long backswing is in your transition, and in today’s video you will learn a great drill to help you out. You will learn to create the separation between your upper and lower body that leads to tremendous club head speed.

  1. Excellent video! I have been trying to work on this very thing but wasn't exactly sure how. This video breaks it down nicely.

  2. Thanks, Zack. Excellent tip. Makes sense for longer backswing and transition in te swing. Will give it a try.

  3. Zach. Fabulous natural athletic examples form all of us older guys who've been at golf, baseball, and all the other athletic moves as they all relate to the golf swing.

  4. Facts about golf instruction from PGA
90% of all male hit 250y and shorter. (trackman stats)
Meaning the 10% beyond 250y usually are single handicap and better.

    60% has a handicap between 10-18.
10 or less has single handicap or better.
The rest are higher than 18.

That is what people that has PGA instructor education behind them teach golfers.
    They cant teach you bombs.
    They cant teach you scoring.

That are current PGA techings standards.
No matter the advice and marketing.

  5. Hi Zach enjoy your videos are you saying actually take a step forward by listing left foot and is this a transfer of weight and should you rotate the hips at the same time let me know thanks for your help Jack

  6. Great video! However I find I need more height on my driver as well as my other clubs. What can I do to get more height and carry the ball further?
