I wouldn’t trust the PGA. Any of those players that try to qualify for LIV and don’t make it, could be blackballed by the PGA.

Plenty from Asian, ANZ and Sunshine tours. I can see some logic in US/DP players playing. If the merger falls over there are ultimately 21 players spaces that are still up for grabs (i.e. those who did not finish in the top 24 but are not in the relegation. If Norman and Yassir have done their job they may have 5-10 or more stars ready to roll over. this means the 3 guaranteed promotions starts to matter. There are plenty of good players in that 21 who are not guaranteed starts in 2024 who would get bumped for up to 10 stars signed on with big bonus cash.
Stalwart PGA tour players wouldn’t have to play the event. They’ll get signed by a team.

Hey guys, the full field of the PGA is 156 players. The LIV qualifier is ONLY going to advance 3, that's 3, players into LIV. What does the PGA have to lose? Nothing, nada, zilch!!!
If you're not among the top 70 players in the PGA that puts you in the lower 86 which will be like no-man's land in the PGAT. If you come in at 48th place in a LIV Tournament you take home $120,000. Yep, you read that right, $120,000. If I'm in the lower 86 I'm definitely giving it a shot for one of the three slots.

PGA Tour top 125 guys are DEFINITELY going to attempt to qualify for LIV.
If you qualify for LIV, then finish Dead last at every event, you make $1.5 million !!
A more accurate number for the 3 qualifiers is $9 million !!
