  1. I mean what are you supposed to do as salt lake, those matchups are terrible. Kerr, who has been their continuation guy, has davis, whos closing speed and playstyle means those free unders now come with a heavy cost, not to mention the tricky passes become a lot harder with davis on the mark. Dunevile, who has been their sneaky deep release, has to try that against babbitt?? Think again. Tan just had lindsleys number all game, and klutton/jagt is at best a 50/50. When you neutralize 4 of a teams biggest threats its just not gonna go well for them, and that was on full display

  2. Not to take away from all that New York does to be as dominant as they are, but this team is bad for the league and fans. When championship weekend is downright uninteresting because one team can win a semifinal matchup without even playing their best players, and then the final is just not even competitive, that's a problem for the league. I don't begrudge anyone doing the super team thing in club because that's self-funded, self-organized and you play for pride. This is supposed to be entertainment and the objective is to sell tickets so when the outcome is predetermined, that punches a pretty big hole in the appeal. I think some New York players are going to have to ask themselves if they really care about the game or just winning.

  3. not just a win, but a legit THUMPIN'. Really hope this team stays this engaged… maybe someday players could make a living off of playing for the league

  4. Come on everyone. You have to give the Shred some credit. 2nd year team taking it all the way to the title game. NY has had many years to build their foundation. SL will be back even better next year.

  5. They're huge, they're fast, they've all played a bunch together.

They have the best deep target, the best deep defender, the best poach defender, and the best handler defender.

They have the best thrower and the best iso cutter.

For some of those you're not even sure which Empire player I'm talking about! This team is too good.

  6. It's getting a bit boring now. 2 perfect seasons in a row? Watch NY make some crazy acquisitions in the offseason and do the same next year. The AUDL need to do something to make this league competitive

  7. 5:45 Davis jumps earlier and presumably would get the disc first but he smashes over Kerr while Kerr is starting to come up. I like the old USA ultimate rule that if your hand grabbed plastic first than contact afterwards was incidental, i.e. you weren't going to get the disc because it's gotten and there's no foul. In this case, I'm not sure Kerr wouldn't've gotten it. And it just seems like bad manners on Davis' part. I'm wondering if he could've jumped more vertically and reached over Kerr a bit. That would've demonstrated convincingly better control and athleticism.
