Almost makes me want to go to the Wirral to p,ay this course. Nothing better than playing 9 holes on your own, late in the evening, with the wildlife starting to emerge

I've been trying for years to get my golf buddies (mates) to play more 9 hole rounds vs 18 especially in the winter. Start the round later when the temperatures are better and play 9. I think I've convinced a few to give it a try this winter.

Golfers are very lucky. The setting can be very beautiful. With or against friends is fun but you are always playing against yourself. Solitary rounds if the course is clear and the weather smiles are heaven. You don.t need to play great but decent.

My friends all retired and I still work so I have learned to play golf solo ideally first time off if possible

Particularly agree with 9 or 12 holes ….. not sure how you encourage clubs/existing players to come along.
Quality and something I can relate to on YT finally. I used to really enjoy your man vs golf hole but this video was fantastic. We all play for different reasons but mine is very similar to your own, sometimes for fun with friends and a little side bet or walking fairways alone with no care in the world away from all the madness. Well done and maybe we will cross paths on the course sometime
I stumbled across the ‘new approach ’ video, and the idea and vibe really appealed to me. In itself, it was a stand-out film. The ‘Alone on the links’ video is just brilliant too: solo golf, chilled music, great scenery and some nice swings.

Lovely but to not have anyone in front or behind is a rare round
I have a few groups of golfers I play with each week, however I don’t think you can beat getting out on the course on your own. I enjoy the solitude and tranquility of a bit of twilight golf during the summer months. No rush, play at your own pace (on the whole) and nothing more relaxing. Keep your chin up, this new content is great and right up my street.
Solo golf is a great way to clear the head, Wallasey looks amazing.
