Hawaii's Extreme Terrain Requires Flex Frame Ventrac Tractor for Brush Mowing

Ventrac’s Video Producer, Mark goes island hopping in Hawaii to catch Ventrac in Action on a coffee farm, resort, and golf club.

Mark starts his journey with the mowing technician at the Cancino Coffee Farm in Kona, Hawaii.
He chats with him about how he mows 120 acres with the Ventrac Tough Cut on extremely rocky, hilly terrain, and in areas of mud and large lava rocks. He also manages to maintain the fast-growing, very thick native grasses that grow in the tropical environment. He’s proudly put over 2500 hours on his Ventrac in 3 years!

Next up, Mark heads to Kapalua Resort in Maui to meet the grounds maintenance crew there. The equipment they have available to them includes a Tough Cut Mower, Contour Mower, Stump Grinder, and Sod Cutter at the resort. They have been able to use the Stump Grinder to its fullest capacity, and it has paid for itself by saving them the cost of removing the stumps with an outside contractor.

En route to the next island, Mark gets delayed by a brush fire! Finally, he arrives at Hawaii Prince Golf Club, which is a very busy and popular course, hosting an average of over 70 charity tournaments and 72,000 rounds of golf played per year. This active course needs to stay efficient, and their Ventrac has helped them a lot by saving on labor. They remove brush from the course to make areas playable, and this can be done with a single worker on the Ventrac versus 5-10 men working manually to remove the brush.
