22 Brazil was about 22 Monaco. In Monaco Q3 Perez was able to cause a red flag and negate everyone else putting in a better lap time. To be clear, he locked up in the hairpin then intentionally crashed at Portier. The data is available. The in car is avaliable. There has been YT videos analyzing. It takes only a few minutes to find. Who accelerates before the apex then doesn't countersteer?

Max is on pole. How can he help Checo ? He have to beat Lewis.
He shouldn't have to help. Red Bull has the superior car and if Checo kept up his end he wouldn't even be in a position where he might lose 2nd. He put himself in this position and shouldn't expect Max to bail him out.
What If Checo didn't dnf in Mexico. What would've happened between the two redbulls in the race. We will never know
When has max EVER been helpful to a teamate?
Pity Checo didn't thought like that in 2021. Now this is what he gets. In Brazil 2022 he could get some help from Max: he got a "no" because of some grudge Max was storing to use at the first opportunity he got. Now Checo is again receiving the same treatment.
Basically it's the "yes he can help me, but I won't help him" attitude. And this was after winning a title with a big help by Checo. I can imagine how Max must be when his teammate dishes to him the same attitude. He must be lovely then. lol
How can anyone feel bad for Checo, he started this season off saying if he's allowed to race max he will take the championship. Then he proceeds to bin it every qualifying and can't make basic overtakes in the race. If you can't get 2nd place is the most dominant car in F1 history then you're just not good enough for P2. When did this become charity, start driving. Checo recently was saying he spend 2 days in the sim and is gonna come back stronger now. Max literally has a sim on his private jet and can be seen online in iRacing literally hours after the races on Sunday. The dedication from Checo isn't as high as max and that's why he will never easily secure a P2. Dudes just collecting his paycheck at this point it's honestly frustrating as a fan, just put someone in the car who really wants it.
If Max said Checo needs his help to get 2nd place in the championship, then Checo fans should be mad at Max because that means he has underestimated Checo.
While his struggles since Suzuka have been the main focus recently, I turn to races like Jeddah and Monaco. Earlier in the season the gap between the Red Bull and everyone else was larger. In Jeddah, Perez looked great but due to max’s car problems in qualifying putting him further back on the grid, he got an extra 7 points by luck. In Monaco, where the real race is during qualifying and it’s a track he did well at in 2022, he crashes in qualifying and we all know there’s no overtaking during that race so he lost out on some significant points there. The win he was gifted in Saudi Arabia essentially got washed out by a mistake in Monaco. Red Bull has also only had 2 front row lockouts since Monaco and checo has only managed to finish in top five 7 times in the last 13 races. Singapore I’ll give him a pass because max didn’t do well either but that’s still 5 races where the fastest car didn’t finish in the top 5. I know it’s easy to pale in comparison to max but checo losing to ricciardo in qualifying and hitting leclerc turn 1 in Mexico has to put him on thin ice with Red Bull. This is basically the team telling him, “it’s on you to get P2, we already gave you the best car.”
If Checo needs Max's help to finish P2 in the championship, he doesn't deserve it. He has a 24 point lead over Hamilton with 3 races to go. This is on Checo.

Max is pointing out something that a lot of the sanitized fans don't realise. There is just too much pity for second drivers (Barrichello, Webber, Bottas, Checo etc.), they are slower than their number one driver, that's why they are often support acts. "But Checo helped Max in 2021!", blah blah blah. The key differenxe here is that Max was in a title fight and was in his position on merit, last year Checo's level of performance was way worse than Leclerc's, and worse than the level that many other drivers had as well, so if we talk about who deserved the 2nd place in the championship, Checo shouldn't be in that discussion in the first place. He belongs in that discussion even less this season considering how bad he has been driving for most of the year.
