In only his third appearance at The Open Championship, Patrick Reed was loving to make his mark in 2016.
The 145th Open played at Royal Liverpool was an opportunity for Reed to show the world that he was major winner material.
In the opening round, the American did just that! Posting a round of 65, five-under-par, putting him tied 2nd alongside Martin Kaymer and trailing Phil Mickelson by three strokes.
Sinking an eagle chip at the third, followed by five birdies through the round Patrick Reed put in a performance of the highest quality.
