  1. Purdy has started believing the hype about him as MVP QB and mistakenly thinking he has Josh Allens arm instead of making throws within his capabilities resulting in back to back interceptions

  2. I like Sims, but one a day when the 49ers offense scored 17 points against a bad Vikings defense, how did I know he'd find a way to make it all about someone other than Shanahan's underperforming offense. I get it, it was a bad defensive play call that led to a td. But every time the rose colored glasses for Shanahan are beyond tiresome. Hardly a mention of the offenses bad performance over the course of an entire game. For Sims, it all boiled down to one play.

  3. Blame it on the call but if 7 actually catches the int you would never have mentioned it or thought of the call at all. These hindsight takes are so stupid.

  4. Nothing about this 49ers team isnt overrated, incredible. Not one aspect of this team that isn't overhyped. It's like watching the Cowboys West

  5. Well cousins is not all that mobile, so with 3rd and 6 , the pressure on cousins with a bltiz is a good call. Remember they knew he didn’t have JJ. Credit goes to the OL for the all night protection. And cousins is a vet so he knows the pressure and what to do. Flores called a better game tho against SF.

  6. He overplayed for thr interception, he was intent on getting his big int, he didn't just make sure to break up the play and that's what happened, you could tell he was so sure of his big moment he didn't think about, what if this guy out muscles me for the ball he's going for 6

  7. Used to not really like Florio. But I have to admit he is consistently the same guy and doesn't waiver in that. For a lawyer to get into a world and stay relevant where its increasingly ex-sports players has got my respect.

  8. Florio is correct. The blitz was an attempt to cause Cousins to panic, as he often does, and create a turnover — giving SF a chance at a last second field goal and momentum going into halftime. It was a high risk / high reward call that ended up on the high risk side instead.

  9. Shanahan not overriding his DC just reminds me of Quinn not overriding him when they were in Atlanta in SB LI.

  10. Sir, maybe we should turn on the searchlights now?
No…that's just what they'll be expecting us to do.

  11. Steve needs to needs to be remove
Sitting up in the booth calling D.plays
Last two coaches on the field with players very close with players who now are head coaches
Wilkes is not close with players sitting in the booth calling plays.Needs to be removed

  12. Sounds like a hell of a lot of excuses for a loss when it simply comes down to basic execution. The Vikings controlled the game wire to wire. They never trailed and it probably should have been 30-17 given the Vikings had the ball on the 1 and 3 and couldn't score a TD because of redzone ineptitude. SF couldn't run the ball, they didn't apply enough pressure, and they had 3 turnovers. What's hard to comprehend?

  13. I don't think it's absolute that they run the defense the way Shanahan wants to. Sure he has the final say, but he definitely gives his DCs the liberty to apply THEIR coverage schemes and philosophy. I have noticed this season that they are playing MUCH more man coverage than they have over the previous 4 seasons. In fact I remember reading that there were going to be changes in the coverage schemes and overall philosophy when Wilks was initially hired, and that these changes were being made as a direct result of Wilks and his philosophy
