I don't have a baitcaster so I jus t bought that one from Temu. Never used Temu before so we'll see lol
Just as others have mentioned, it does need a dab of oil before you use it https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e – put a few drops in through the convenient screw cap and you are good to go! I have fished several weeks with a couple of these, and I will be getting more in the future. I put these against my Abu Garcia Pro Max reel, and they actually perform a bit better than the Abu with some of my lighter cranks, and definitely just as good with the rest of my lures. My Abu is a bit more low profile and fits my hand better, but these are definitely not bad at all. You can almost get 3 of these for the price of my Pro Max. My only complaint is the thumb bar sits pretty high compared to my traditional profile Abu. Bring that thumb bar down a little and I’m sold on these all day long.
That 5-0 action was there for a reason. That lake is all but shut down until the construction project concludes. WSSC confirmed that when I visited a few weeks back. There's also no fishing after sunset.

Your rod is probably made out of almost pure glass fibre
People sleep on that cheap mono at Walmart lol. Done caught a couple good size bass on it. The biggest being a little under 6 pounds
The rod has a regular handle. That’s all that was available a few years back. It’s designed for single hand grab. I prefer it to the long butt rods…
