  1. have always wondered if and when was the last time a team has won both hurling and gailic football all ireland title in the same year.

  2. I lived in Ireland for two years,(Riverstown, Sligo)..And attending a hurling game in Sligo !!!!What a game ,…love the Irish, and i never forget you my dearest Aine Willis love u for ever !!!!!!!!!

  3. Gotta love @ 2:08:50 when Peter Casey scores his 5th point. The tv cuts to an attractive Limk supporter celebrating in the crowd.
Marty is distracted by her appearance & describes the Limk hurlers as 'beautiful'.
We know what was on your mind Marty.

  4. The KK '4-in-a-row' team had 8 players that started each of the 4 finals in '06-'09. Limk had 11 players that started each of their 4 winning finals. KK used 22 different starters in the 4yrs. Limk used 18 starters in their 4 finals. In fact either Graeme Mulcahy or Peter Casey started in each of the 4 finals & each replaced the other as subs.

  5. First time watcher from South Africa here. Perhaps I don’t fully understand the rules, but how come players are allowed to run with the sliotar in their hand for more then 4 steps without transferring it to their hand or it touching the ground and not get penalised? I imagine it can be quite a difficult rule to enforce, and enforcing it would slow down the flow of the game a lot, but do players ever actually get penalised for it?

  6. And again a final ruined by the shitty rules. There is a great sport somewhere in here, but launching the ball a million times from way out is not how to get there. The sport can not grow unless you make a goal worth 5.

  7. As a kiwi ive come to realise that the Irish are hard arses. They compete at everything – rugby, football, Gaelic football, this hurling business…..then there is the MMA guys and boxers. Good sorts who love a laugh when I encounter them too.

  8. The final 10 minutes is Fantastic. I know nothing about this sport except I’m Irish by blood. I want to have a couple a FOOKIN creamy pints and run tru a FOOKIN wall

  9. This is my first time watching Irish Hurling, it looks like a fun sport. Just noticed that the tackling in this game is a bit different then in Rugby, I was wondering what's the rules are when you tackle someone.

  10. That 2nd half performance by limerick was a spellbinding combination of skill, power and composure. We (kilkenny) had no answer, even though our lads fought to the end.
