We need to quit thinking about OWGR points. PGAT has most every facet at their call. If Tigers deal is going to be 15 Mondays then when do the golfers rest?
Not enough tournaments to be legitimate regarding ranking points. One hell of a retirement fund though. If your career is past it’s peak why not cash in. Don’t get why young top Pga and DP players would come over for golfing reasons? It’s Purely financial and if cash is your king that’s your choice
LIV’s was set up by the biggest conman in sports Greg Norman, along with the guy who’s number 2 on that list Phil! I hope they both ROT together. LIV was all built off of spite and greed! Look it ALLLL up Norman has blamed the PGA Tour for him losing all those majors, and Phil NOTORIOUSLY was angry at the PGA for all of the attention Tiger got, and he thought it was a set up why he never became world number 1! I’ve been saying this all since the beginning to all of you CASUAL fans!
I laugh at the LIV supporters in the comments. It has not increased in crowd attendance, way behind the PGA and DP tour. TV Viewership is very low, and only has 292K subs on YT compared to the PGA with 1.27 million. As far as I am concerned is that the only people who watch LIV is because they believe that the PGA is corrupt and controls the world.
It is called the PGA, Players Golf Association, and the Players have a say in what happens. The only reason the best players in the world go to the PGA is due to the money that is available to them. I look at LIV and the majority of players are not good enough anymore and took the money, which is fine, and the better golfers just took the money thinking the PGA and DP World would roll over to have them back on their tours.
Sucked in. Lost their spots, lost their rankings, lost respect amongst real golfers all for the money.

This has always been my main issue golf wise with the tour since it started. It feels like it is essentially a long form invitational.
Do you think that PGA & DP tours are the same as they were back when they started, do some research & especially on Liv. How many professional golfers that don’t play in the PGA tour,are in the top 50 in the world, it’s a pga list the WGR

Don’t forget these poor players who will drop out have “won” a minimum of $100K per event they have played in. They chased the money and have received far more than they would have ever won on the PGA or DP tours so they have a win.
You go to the International series and the top golfers in the International series join LIV next season. Last tournament will be in Indonesia in November
Yep, there are definitely a FLAW in the LIV system. It's not a fair system and corrupt because as stated if you are a big name and finish is the relegation area you probably won't get kicked out ( exemption or not ) but if you are somebody that just makes up the numbers you will be kicked out. The R&A, DP Tour, OWGR and PGA should have nothing to do with them !
The captain position is no different to the exemptions on PGA/DP tours where there are past winners, money list accumulation existence, etc. This has always been known within LIV only outsiders who have ignored or denied LIV existence are unaware. Non-issue.
The liv tour should just play in las vegas as it would suit their silly game.
At some point – not 2024 – there will be non playing captains. And captains that aren’t owners.

We're all armchair quarterbacks or whatever you want to call it and it's all very entertaining to speculate but one perspective I think people constantly overlook is what you labeled "teething". If you think of it in terms of a business. A number of individuals arrived at a plan for a new company. They had their business plan, their financial outlook, the hiring plan etc. all worked out. They went head hunting for their top picks and started accepting limited applications. When you ask people to join your startup, not everyone wants in. Sometimes you don't get the best applicants. Maybe the ones you want are more risk adverse and not excited about a brand-new unknown company. To convince them you might be willing to offer them incentives to sign the contract. Could be a signing bonus, could be length of contract term, could be contract stipulations. You do what you can to get started. Over time you work towards it all normalizing and hire people simply because they know you have a good company. The first few years are bumpy, and changes are made to improve. I think you get my point. It takes time, and experience, and commitment.
LIV shook up the PGA and DP Tours. They suddenly found more prize money.
Just let the players play where they want and stop this monipoly/control nonesense.
Its also way more entertaining something the other tours should consider.
