Episode 9 of Mental Game LIVE is packed with great insight on taking your game into competition. I chopped it up with Top 100 golf instructor and Golf Fanatics founder Andrew Rice. Andrew has a ton of great info, especially on the everyday golfer who is looking to lower their scores while getting rid of their expectations!
We also talked about why Ben Hogan’s swing is so popular to emulate and why so many want to try to replicate it. Fascinating conversation!

Awesome show. Thanks for answering my question.
Just re-watched episode 9 and made my show notes. Love the phrase " stop validating, start competing" . This is why I watch and listen to MGL. Learn something new every episode. Thanks.
Hogan was a low core player, so was McGuire a low core Batter. But Tiger is Mid Core, its the pretty swing, so like Adam Scott. But Nicklaus was upper core swinger, so is Michelson. Its how our body moves, what core moves our body. To Mimic a player you can do, but you need to be similar core mover ..
Wright Balance , Dr David Wright, has identified three general models of golf swings. The key is to know what you can do… your body angles are different dependent on your core, so is your grip different… So its about match ups. To be playing our of your core, is a red light for injury.
