Go Bears ….Vikes shopping and currently taking calls on Hunter and Smith…..
so did anyone think that oconnel could turn a bad vikings team to a division champ and a 13-4 record last year? most people expected atleast a 9-8 or 8-9 record, underestimated oconnel's first year…and vikings won seven straight games last year…so whos to say the vikings cant finish its final 12 games with atleast a 9-3 or better to finish atleast 10-7 or better? what a bunch of quitters = losers…i wouldnt want any quitters on my team, thats for losers!!! its not like the vikings played bad…take away all the multiple turnovers in each game and vikings could be 5-0 or 4-1 at worse. a bad team is a bad team…a team with untimely turnovers is a different story.
I know I'm alone in this thinking, but Outside of obviously needing a good QB, I never cared much for Super Stars, even on my own team…. I've always preferred a TEAM that wins collectively, with good-not-great talent spread out all over, on Offense/Defense/Special Teams…. A team that can win multiple different ways….and doesn't rely so heavily on 1 guy to carry the load. Thats a flawed way to hope to win. I like Defense, running the ball, being physical, getting after opposing QB…..I hate this KOC chuck and duck mentality. JJ is great, don't get me wrong, but maybe its good to give this team a wake up call and force some other guys to contribute a little more. Maybe it'll force us to run some more, and force Kirk to spread it around and actually improve our attack. Regardless, It'll be interesting. Win or Lose, I will weep tears of joy when Kirk is finally gone in March/April, God Willing.
