The Luckiest Win In NASCAR History

…and it wasn’t that long ago. A little over four years ago now, the final July 4th weekend running of the Coke Zero 400 resulted in quite an unusual winner via quite unusual circumstances. And by unusual circumstances, I mean luck; complete, blind, 100% pure luck. The winner in question is still racing full time in the Cup Series, so he has a chance to win again, but his odds of doing so in the near future are unlikely.

  1. 17:18 just to let you know, despite being full-time Cassill didn't get points in Cup for 2019 so he wouldn't have made the playoffs even if he won that day. Great video though

  2. Hey just one question

Will you doThe Grading the Nascar cup series Drivers for this season?

I like the Last one you did in 2022

    Just asking

  3. 17:17 actually Landon Cassill did not declare for Cup points So no even if he wins he doesn't make the playoffs surprisingly he legit wasn't eligible for the playoffs I don't know why but he just didn't declare for cup points.

  4. james buescher daytona 2012 IMO is the luckiest win, all of the top 10 wrecked right in front of him. funny how its always the FOE car that lucks into wins.

  5. Just based off the title and seeing Bayne, before watching the vid. That win wasn't a fluke. He showed speed all speed weeks. So much so that Jeff Gordon preferred to work with him. I placed a bet on him to win even.

  6. The luckiest? Wouldn't having the leader pull into the pits on the last corner under caution be a very very luck win?

  7. Dale Earnhardt had restrictor plate races figured out . He would purposely drop to the back several times during a race. He wanted to know how many laps it took to drive back to the front .
