After winning another LIV Golf event, Bryson DeChambeau was asked whether or not he should have been considered as a Captain’s Pick for the 2023 Ryder Cup Team. In his response Bryson revealed that he feels like he is playing better than when he won the US Open at Winged Foot, and that not being on the team “stings.” Bryson also felt as though he could have helped “rack up some points for Team USA.” Zach Johnson recently responded to Bryson (and others) being snubbed in saying that he was only considering the guys in the Top 25 of the Ryder Cup points standings. Remember, performance in LIV Golf events does not count towards official Ryder Cup, so Bryson DeChambeau’s performance in the LIV league essentially meant nothing with regards to his potential selection to the 2023 US Ryder Cup team.

  1. I'm from Australia and we don't really care about a Ryder Cup exhibition event but Bryson is one of the top five golfers in the world without a doubt so the Ryder Cup is picking average golfers in the professional game so that makes it a joke

  2. Imagine playing againt Bryson and he drives one of the short par 4 s. That is massive mojo for the US team.

  3. Seems like Team USA views it like a boys golfing trip. Gotta bring your best buddy JT who has lost his game. The locker room ambience is apparently more important than bringing guys who can play.

  4. The liv players were never getting on the ryder cup team due to all the petty politics. I'm surprised they picked Koepka. Very childish Zach Johnson.

  5. It's well documented that he's not a very good team mate. Why does this keep coming up?

The more interesting team omission was Tony Finau. He played well and Zach took JT. At least then, you'd be talking about something interesting instead of shoveling the same BS as everyone else for clicks.

  6. Funny that they snub LIV players, when they are now all basically part of LIV. They're defending the PGA's original stance on LIV, when even the PGA gave up and basically joined LIV.

  7. As a Canadian, I could've prettied-up the American and EU team a little better. A lot of good golfers got left out on both sides. It will still be a great show nonetheless.

  8. His carry on at the last one Ryder cup will be better without him

  9. Hope the US loses for its snub of DJ and Bryson. When you cheat your best players out of the right to play, you deserve to lose. Nothing but candy ass sour grapes. F Zach Johnson. PERIOD

  10. Because of the petty politics of the PGA (and their hypocrisy), the US Ryder Cup team is a farce… everyone knows it, but most of the media will try to ignore it …. It’s no longer the best golfers from the US versus the best from Europe!

  11. Can’t put much weight on Brysons 2 wins and record low scoring round. The way liv golf has the courses set out are for low scoring golf. Basically playing easier courses

  12. Zach didn’t go by top 20. Justin Thomas is in the worst form of his career! He is also not even in the top 100!!! Zach was spewing pure BS. Zach sounds like a woke PGA guy. The reality is, this is more political than it is based on standings or a players’ form.

  13. 11 1/2 of the 19 points from team USA were from players who were not selected this year.. 5 for DJ and 2 1/2 from Bryson, not forgetting of course that Bryson was one of the most dynamic and crowd-pleasing players at the last RC

  14. Zack and PGA don’t belong in America. They are not the representatives of USA.

  15. The way the media went after LIV golf smelled so bad especially when no one looked at the PGA sponsors and alliances, so when any PGA player that gave their “Rory like” comments just made it worse. Then to not pick the best players but to favor PGA players (and not the ones who earned it on the PGA)has me hoping the US gets crushed. I can’t blindly root for any team, especially when I don’t agree with them

  16. US team leader area not build with high IQ, they ate stupid and unable making decisions with sense. If Zach Johnson would have taken alone the points every player's won in the majors where LIV and PGA professionals compared together, then Bryson would gave always been in top 10 of the list, also Patrick Reed and Brooks as a winner maybe on number 1 there. But Zach Johnson took all tournaments which no LIV golfer ever played. Stupid! And good for Europe….

  17. Zach Johnson choose the politically correct PGA stance no PGA no Ryder Cup he only choose Brooks because he could not afford to not pick him. team USA is weaker because they ignored Bryson and Dustin.

  18. If you want a team to represent the US in international competition, the goal should be to field the best. That should be the point of view of the captain, not golf politics.
I hope for Zach's and the team sake, we win the RC. Otherwise there will a lot of second guessing drama going on that the media is licking their chops to spin.

  19. I really don’t think it matters who goes anyway because when’s the last time USA won the Ryder Cup in Europe?

  20. Zach is just a bad liar, just be honest and tell it as it is. He didn’t want LIV players but how could he not pick a major winner in brooks. And keegan was never a consideration because he knew he was going to pick JT regardless. JTs racked up his ranking points from a while ago, if he were to be ranked 50 prior to the pick Zach would probably have said I looked at top 50

  21. I'd rather lose. Even bk being on the team instead of Keegan disgusts me. So I'll just turn the volume off. I'm disgusted. EFF LIV!! Shouldn't RUIN THE MAJORS EITHER!!! Eff the blood money tour sheep!! 💯🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻

  22. This hurts the LIV players the most. I use to work at the Players Championship and they all use Ryder Cup gear for there everyday stuff. Like travel bags etc. Plus they told me.

  23. Way to go Zach your captain job was just like you play. Like 💩💩💩💩I could pick the team better, I would have picked 3 of the other LIV guys. # karma # Blackballed.

  24. I get what Zach Johnson is saying, but that methodology obviously didn't work. Hindsight is 20/20. I would have preferred he not have taken any live player, but obviously that wouldn't have changed the outcome much. Since he decided to break the LIV barrier, I think DJ or Bryson would have been better choices than Brooks. Take all three and there is a good chance we see a different result.

  25. It's a team sport. This is why euro dominates. They have players out of the top rankings over and over and they come thru. US jdominated a year ago and should have stuck with the formula no matter what. ZACH FAILED THE USA. Go with what got you there.
