The 2023 Ryder Cup is the 44th edition and runs between September 25 – October 1. Zach Johnson is the U.S. Team Captain and Luke Donald is the European Team Captain. The U.S. Team are the reigning champion after winning 19-9 at Whistling Straits in 2021. Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder.

Let's be honest….Johnson picked his buddies to be on this team rather than the best players. He owns this loss. It's pointless talking about the poor performances of the players that SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE. If Woods is the next captain, the best players will likely make the team. They'll probably lose in NY but at least they'll lose with the best players. Europe will win but only if THEY pick the best players. Donald also had Hojgaard there instead of Meronk. The damage he did there was significant and not restricted to the Ryder Cup. The Hojgaard brothers are both up-and coming however neither had a place in THIS Ryder Cup. HUGE mistake which almost cost them.
