  1. Maybe we can be lucky with injuries but Son, Biss, and Sarr missing a month due to their national team cup tournaments is going to be very difficult to manage

  2. I’ve had to explain to the moaning scousers who said VAR should have been scrapped is they forgot that the linesman flagged Dias goal as offside. So without VAR it still wouldn’t have been a goal.

  3. Just the view of a fan of the beautiful game. Yep, it was a mistake by officials! And yes, everything possible must be done to obliviate such wrongful decisions! I am just wondering if the uproar and senseless "carry-on" would have taken place if a Tottenham goal would have been disallowed instead?? Without the pundits actually saying it, it sounds as if this "outcry" of injustice supposedly perpetrated against poor Liverpool, almost suggests that it was the reason they lost the game? I bet that in the round of games this weekend many somewhat similar incidents happened but went under the radar! I am sure there isn't a club playing, current and past, that did not have to take a bad decision on the chin and move on! I say it again, stop the senseless squabble along with the constant virtue signalling and hone the current system sensibly and methodically to alleviate future mishaps of any nature as far as is humanly possible! In short, grow a pair!

  4. There's always been a refereeing crisis in football (since day one), anyone who has played at any kind of level will tell you that (especially people brave enough to aspire to be a referee). Blame the officials if you like however the expectations on officials to expedite the "RULES" of a game which is in of itself by nature, desperately flawed is laughable and out of all proportion. I can't wait for proper AI officiating, then who knows, human error won't be the biggest bone of contention….or will it be AI error… then they'll have to add the subjective football fantasy algorithm. By the way Curtis Jones tackle spoiled that game, of course everything else was a conspiracy…

  5. Liverpool might win the red card appeal by way of a sympathy vote for the VAR screw up, which would be totally wrong but may happen. Not sure what anyone else thinks but I think for their age I think we've got a pretty impressive back four, not many teams in the league can match it.

  6. 'Played another half hour against 9 men and not scored'? I think Spurs just needed a little time to recalibrate and would have demolished them if they played another 30 mins.

You have to remember, it is early days in Angie's training of the team in Ange ball. I can assure you they have not wasted time training 11 v 9 whereas Klopps crew no doubt have given the amount of red cards they are determined to give away in recent months.

  7. Low blocks are not rocket science. They are implemented by the least talented teams in the PL. Basic bread and butter for a billion dollar team like Liverpool. I think way too much credit is being given for their 'brave' effort. SU do it every week. They may do with 11 but they do with one tenth the player budget of Liverpool.

Angeball in its infancy is not prepared today for a 9/10 Liverpool low block. I can assure you that's not what they practised all week at training.

  8. Id bet my house both liverpool and spurs will be involved in a controversial game before season is over!!!

  9. Neville, Redknapp, Townsend, all comments from pundits, they were trying to invent excuses to justfy their opinions.

  10. I'm sorry but if it's "swings and roundabouts" and these even out with time isn't that basically the same we had before VAR but with more time wasted in games? Ditch VAR if it doesn't meaningfully reduce incorrect or controversial rulings, which was supposed to be its purpose.

  11. The problem with Kulu is his lack of ability to read the game well, 1 trick pony… Kept bringing the ball back onto his left for the pass instead of trying to get around the defender for the cross behind the defence. The one time Porro got to pass him, he crossed from behind the defence and Spurs got that goal in the same way Richy got behind the defence to cross for Son's goal.

  12. If Liverpool miss out on something big , they will forever make noise about this match, if Spurs achieve something big, everyone will make noise about this match.

  13. I can not remember Crystal Palace complaining after the match v Coventry in 1980, when Clive Allen scored a 'goal' that the ref thought hit the bar.

    'The goal that never was'.

  14. ok replay but they get 9 men. The var was a joke. The cards were cards. Loosing control and over stretching will injure a player.

  15. VAR is meant to help the system overcome human error. However, as long as there are humans involved in the process, human error is inevitable. The error is grave but should not be a surprise.

  16. 30:29

After a game in the Netherlands between Waalwijk and Ajax an incident happened where Brobbey (Ajax striker) purely on accident hit the goalie on his head who then went knock out. Brobbey then got loads of racial abuse on twitter, I reported a tweet calling him a "kanker aap" (cancer monkey) and also got messaged back by twitter that it doesn't violate their terms. Absolute bollocks

  17. What happened on Saturday with the offside is easily fixed with a single change of protocol. Instead of saying “check complete”, VAR should just confirm “onside”.

Leave other onfield decisions with the ref and red cards can be reviewed by a panel post game

  18. How great would it be if we somehow won the league and best Liverpool by a point – it would be even better that just winning it but to win it and seek them all go into a collective meltdown and go back to this match would be wonderful

  19. The Sheff Utd v Villa goal would have had major consequences. It would have meant Villa would have been relegated that season instead of Bournemouth, had Sheff Utd been given the goal.

  20. Imagine if the game was replayed after a long and drawn-out process, only for Liverpool to lose the replay.

  21. Not ready???? 😂😂 if we are up there then we are ready, one game at a time, and we are not the same spurs as the last 8 years or so, no more Dier, Sanchez, Lucas…. Different manager and the bulk of new players that don’t know about our Spursy history, we need to get an understanding that this is a very different Spurs and anything is possible, listen to the manager and buy into it or your going to live a very short stressful life thinking that this is the same spurs as before. It’s a new book with fresh pages COYS!

  22. My attitude towards all of it can best be embodied by the Kermit the frog sipping tea meme. "I didnt make this mess, im not responsible for its results, i currently have 3 pts."

  23. Rob is that a South Sydney Rabbitohs jersey over your left shoulder? Not that I support them, but I do live in Rabbitohs territory. If it is, could you provide some context?
