Liv Golf Officials have JUST REFUSED to ATTEND TOMORROWS PGA TOUR Hearing and HERE’S WHY!

No PGA Tour, LIV Golf or PIF officials attending Wednesday’s Senate hearing! Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) will continue his examination of Saudi Arabia’s move into professional golf and other U.S.-based investments through its Public Investment Fund, in a hearing scheduled for Wednesday in Washington D.C. The PGA Tour-PIF deal will continue to be scrutinised by democratic senator Richard Blumenthal but in the hearing schedule for 13 September, no PGA Tour, PIF and LIV Golf officials will be present. Blumenthal previously insisted LIV Golf supremo Yasir Al-Rumayyan attend to answer questions.

But why are no liv golf officials attending the hearing? No officials from the Tour, the PIF or LIV Golf are scheduled to testify at the hearing. It seems crazy? Is this the end? Is there a future of liv golf, pga tour and the merger actually real? Liv Golf Officials have REFUSEd to ATTEND TOMORROWS PGA TOUR-PIF Senate Hearing and HERE’S WHY! There has been so much speculation on the future of liv golf, pga tour, liv golfers, liv golf players, will liv tour pga tour merger happen.

  1. I don't understand why the Senate is involved with it unless it is because of Saudi Arabia. If they can't do anything about it then I don't see the point of the hearings. Personally I hope the deal doesn't go through.

  2. It's all theatre. The sand rats won't attend, the PGA won't attend in case they say something or get trapped into saying something honest (damaging) about the sand rats

  3. True golf is doing fine.
Its the Professional game that is under threat. Being torn apart by obscene amounts of money.
Very little goes into the junior & amateur game?

  4. The PGA Tour & the Saudi Public investment group are private organizations and as such the proposed merger is none of Senator Blumenthal's or the US Senate's business! Tomorrows hearing is pure political theater there is a human rights advocate and 2 other anti Saudi witnesses appearing whose agenda will be to publically bash Saudi Arabia so the PGA Tour & LIV are smart to stay away. So whether we like or dislike the Saudi's I ask myself why is the Senator targeting the PGA/LIV merger instead of the numerous massive defense, aviation, & scientific investments the Saudi's are currently expanding their ownership in? I suspect Blumenthal has a political motive that we may or may not ultmately learn of!

  5. While Senator Blumenthals' committee may not have the authority to do anything, they will have the ear of the DOJ. Not to mention the the court of public opinion. And you can bet the Tour players will be listening. If this hearing is anything like the first, there will be a few bombshells. Can't wait, must see TV

  6. First, you have to learn how to read! You show the text and you read it, completely different than the text you show. NEXT, I CAN IMAGINE THAT READING THIS PART MUST BE ANNOYING TO READ BECAUSE ITS REALLY ANNOYING TO LISTEN TO WHEN YOU CONSTANTLY TALK LIKE THIS.

  7. Isn’t this an International Trade item & why is the deal being reviewed in the USA first? Of course – the USA Government should only review the PGA business but only to approve the PGA. The USA and PGA are wrong to try to manipulate & control International Golf Tours. The PGA Tour is regional & operates within North America (Canada & Mexico) – in guidelines of the North American Free Trade Agreement. The PGA is a great regional tour – but was never set up to govern International Golf Tours.

  8. This is very confusing. I thought the issue with the US senate was "Anti-Trust" considerations regarding the merged PGA and LIV golf. I'm curious about what the AI rep and the other people have to do with anti-trust.. Or is there some other hidden agenda they want pushed via the merger?

  9. Credit to the golf entities finally coming together to tell politicians they will not be used for publicity stunts.

There’s nothing to worry about. Imho.

The golf tours are working toward something. They will have something for 2025, which is quite a long time from now still.

For now I just cannot wait for the next LIv event. And the Napa event this week to see if JT is done stinking it up.
Zack Johnson says he won’t put much stock into his performance…I bet you won’t Cap.

  10. The US senate has no role or authority. It’s a waste of time and they are working on a deal.

  11. I golf with a lot of 20, 30 year Olds, none of them watch pro golf. They can't tell you who won any tournament.

  12. Richard Blumenthal claimed he was in the Vietnam War but got busted lying. What a sleazebag.

  13. What gives Blumenthal and the congress the right to interfere in golf matters? The US government thinks they can rule the world but they can't, they don't and they never will, specially with a puppet leading them…

  14. This is rediculous. Politicians need to stay out of golf. World wide when politicians set agendas and policy, it ruins sport.

  15. The people who own the PGAT behind closed doors and LIV are one in the same group. They own US politics and could care less about them.

  16. The US Senate has no jurisdiction over LIV, so why should they attend ? Blumenthal is a complete idiot anyway, he should have retired years ago.

  17. Got to love how they use “PIF” and not the term “Saudi Blood Money” because the PGA wants it to line their pockets now! The hypocrisy of all this makes me sick. As far as I’m concerned the only future in golf is Wednesday week with my mates at the local golf course because the world game is as corrupt as the current US government. 👎🏼

  18. Well actually it isn't as big a deal as you're making it. You see, Congress reviews cases like this all of the time without input from the factions discussed. You see, in America, we don't think Golf requires a full on review with additional input from the parties involved. This is merely entertainment and nothing more; believe it or not.

  19. We in the US don't take Blumenthal seriously. He is a leftist democrat political hack. He is most famous for claiming to be a Vietnam war veteran to get elected. He is anti-Trump. He is digging into LIV because he thinks Trump is involved. He has no interest in golf or LIV.

  20. This is “Much Ado About Nothing”. Government has nothing to say about PIF/PGA arrangement … absolutely nothing and it’s about time you started reporting facts .. not opinions and conjecture. The fate of LIV is with Monahan and right now he has “bigger fish to fry” than work on a a second rate golf tour that will have no financial sponsor and limited, very limited viewing audience. The Ryder Cup is next and then the “off-season” to work out what’s next until January. All the rest is just speculation, misinformation and leaning into lies. ⛳️🏌️😎

  21. Of course it's a Democrat, they're all against capitalism. They are poor communism.

  22. Blumenthal is a pice of work to be looking into this! He intentionally lied about his military carrier to garner political favor! POS!

  23. After watching the session today, it’s apparent that the deal will not go through based on discussions from the three sitting in front of the subcommittee. Everything was based around the already known human rights abuses and the added financial ploys by the PIF to obtain a media outlet that would spin those abuses in their favor or not broadcast it at all.

  24. pga officials dont want to answer the hard questions about their new business partner's human rights violations and said business partner makes their money as a result of them so not shocked on the no shows. Senators do care a bit about how you make the money you intend to spend in the US but this likely gets resolved behind closed doors

  25. So no R&A involved in any of these discussions about the future of golf then?… all about the yanks and money and the Arabs taking over sport. Where did the cooperation that PGA and R&A have after all those years.. did that go when that little greedy power tripping fucker Moynahan take over? Best thing to happen for world golf, yes WORLD Golf is for the senate to block this deal, the Arabs go home and Moynahan and his cohorts get the fuck out of the game.

  26. As we saw in the last hearing when PGA reps showed up. They had nothing to say, they did not have the authority they said to agree or promise anything. They stated over and over there is only an agreement to work together to arrive at a written agreement. Even PHA doesn’t want to waste their time coming back and the others still see no reason to. Until there is an agreement in writing and signed by whoever there is nothing for the senate to object to with any authority.

  27. The problem seems to be a foreign government taking over a US corp. The senate is bringing in people who suffer from the saudis human rights violations.

  28. Well this will settle the antitrust question. Maybe the Senate will side with the PGA, and screw the saudi shitheads.
