  1. I think he is right us hockey fans from Canada are too extreme….but I believe it's still a great way to make a living playing professional hockey in USA Canada or anyway

  2. Honest Question what makes you believe that Huberdeau has anything resembling a redemption season. A video on this is like to see

  3. IF Tkachuk can't handle the pressure he is a wimp. There is pressure on all professional athletes in sports markets where fans and the media have high expectations of their teams.

  4. In Florida there is know fan base. As a hockey player that’s why you go there to play. The weather and know one bugs you. You can go out and not worry about people bugging you. Pretty much know one even recognizes you.

  5. Truth hurts. If the politics don't change in Canada I see a future with the…..San Antonio Jets and the Atlanta Oilers. No?

  6. As a Canucks fan I completely agree with him. Canadian fan bases are toxic as hell and Vancouver is the worst by far.

  7. …..the "media" culture!!? Only the idiot/narcissist would have faith/value in what media dictate…. dont tell Matthew Santa clause isn't real 😮

  8. He's 100% right. An elite athlete is generally putting some pressure on themselves, they all want to win, the cup is the goal. So is their coach, applying pressure, so is their management, so are the fans. But Canadian fans, this is all we have. Our emotions around hockey are easy to play on. Our media uses that to keep our players wrapped up in the almost fan fiction level drama they produce. Every damn time I watch Petey or Hughes take an interview, I cringe. I think to myself "they wouldn't have to put up with this shit in California or Florida"

  9. I can’t help but wonder why this is not a big deal when you play for the Yankees, or the Lakers and teams to that accord. The pressure excuse would never fly. But when it comes to hockey they all want to hide from the pressure of being in a hockey mad market place.

  10. in Canada hockey rules and in the media they are very well covered by people that know hockey, In the US hockey isn't as important so the media covers it different especially if you are outside of the big hockey markets and Florida is a good example. So if you can't take the pressure go hide in a half full rink were there isn't much media.

  11. Its not even the fans. At all.
And hes actingblike its not even slughtly deserved lol

As a fan of an NHL team you would definitely be upset having 5 year's without playoff success.
Thats being said a majority of leaf fans aren't like he described.

Its the media and bandwagon fans. Haters are always the most vocal.

And im jist happy as a leaf fan i have a teams thats fun as fuck to watch all year. I honestly dont care of the leafs win a cup. If they end up doing it! WHOOOOOO!!! WE THE NORTH!! LOL

But really i just like being entertained.
.ita also funny how people use negativity to fight negativity. Its hypocritical and unhelpful

  12. Not a fan of The Puke, but I think he is correct on this point. Canada thinks it owns the game and that comes across to the players on the Canadian NHL teams and makes matters worse than better. Fans in Canada need to realize that the SCC drought in Canada is a direct result of the curse the hockey gods laid down for not only the Habs but all Canadian based teams for Jacques Demers decision to make a stick challenge against Marty McSorley when his team was about to go down two games to none in the 1993 SCF. The Habs may have won that series and the The Cup, but jinxed themselves and all Canadian NHL teams because of it. Canadian fans need to check their egos at the rink door.

  13. It’s kinda weird you’re commenting on this story since you are part of the problem tkachuk is talking about…
