If he's D3 someone didn't do their job
Just for context: Owen threw mid 80’s in HS a lot can change when you go all in on your development.
I’ve said this for years having played both d1 and d3, d1 pitchers just developed earlier but facing guys who topped 96 in d3 but also had nasty off speed from only hitting mid 80s in high school. Nasty stuff in all divisions

I respectively disagree about the need for putting up big numbers. Maybe as a position player. I was fortunate enough to play at a top JUCO, mid-major D1 and made it to AA with the Rangers before blowing my arm up. I have been coaching and pro scouting for 25 years. I have sent many pitchers to D1. I will guarantee you if I would have this kid and he throws like this. I would have made one phone call and he would have been on a D1 team.
