  1. Black rook a8 to A2 check and sacrifice leads to checkmate by involving second rook into the game ( at time 7.44)

  2. that last game gave me a heart atack, maybe a tibreak would be to much for my heart to handle so im glad it didnt happen😆

  3. I don't like Nakamura as a person but his chess is truly super elite level. Keeping a match thrilling and unpredictable while playing Magnus is no easy task.

  4. Magnus was being polite by winning by 1 point. He really won by 2 points. Which is amazing given he went on tilt mid-match giving away several consecutive games, resting his head sideways looking tired, then still won the match anyway.

  5. Shaping up to become the best modern rivalry in chess history! Amazing game!!!!!

  6. Stockfish: Magnus had 90% accuracy, Naka 89.9% !! That is crazy high level chess in blitz/bullet. You get GM norms in classical with less than that. Their rivalry matches are chess propaganda! In the post match interview Magnus was glad he won, but disappointed he had a weak day and looked forward for a revenge that would display more dominant win. 😂 😂

  7. Dunno about no one matching them in blitz. For ex MVL clearly dominated Naka in their match (just to be stomped in bullet). Plus Naka rarely dominates OTB like he does online. Anw great video, have a nice day.

  8. Thanks, Mr King, I know no better commentator and now that you call him Magnus again, I feel so much better 🙂

  9. I love nearly all kinds of chess, except bullet. I could never play fast enough because inadvertently I'd try to calculate – it's just in my nature – and there's no time for such luxury. So to me it isn't real chess.
So this time the dice came up in Carlsen's favour? I must admit I can't really get too excited.
Still it's nice when you analyse as if it were real chess, and we all learn something, so thanks a lot, Danny!

  10. In fact, Nakamura stated himself that he offered the draw because he thought it was a perpetual.

  11. what strikes me most about this was Magnus' interview afterwards where he was so self-deprecating and wasn't happy "just to win" as he feels as though he's so much better than the competition that he should be winning far more comfortably. It's the sort of winning mentality that sets the likes of Magnus apart (very similar to Michael Jordan or Muhammad Ali).

  12. Naka's winning move was not that hard to see fot a player of his caliber…and Carlsen's move was even easier, because white has no other move, so forcing checks is what you always do when you are facing a mate in 1.

  13. I think Rxc5+ is actually not that hard to see given the match situation. You cannot defend your king, you have to throw all you have at the enemy king with check. And Rxc5+ is the most direct way to do that.

  14. Carlsen’s double rook sacrifice, beautiful and realised in an instant, is a fitting end to a great battle!
