I know nothing about the golf rules, but I do know about the English language. Penultimate means second to last. So, penultimate hole, it all comes down to this, is a complete oxymoron. 😂 sorry I can't help with the rules 😂😂
I suppose it's endemic to the American Youtube golf channel guys, but the amount of meaningless and annoying chatter is quite off-putting. Matt, stick to what you do and dont veer off-course by trying to emulate all of the American Youtubers. Yes, offhand, i can name many of the Yank golf channel guys who are phenomenal. That, in itself, doesn't correlate to an enjoyable golf video. Bryan Bros. are about the best….dont like watching very much. I watched one Bryson D vid on his channel and couldn't take any more. Etc, etc.

On the nearest vs. nicest relief from the cart path… since you get relief if your stance is on the cart path, wouldn't that direction then become further to get relief? For example, for a righty in the cart path, nearest relief would be to the left of the cart path because relief to the right would require extra distance for the stance. Correct? This may even be true for balls resting slightly to the right-center of the cart path for a right-handed player.
