  2. Hello matthew
What do you think about bait boats and add-ons (sonar, gps) ? Do you think using such things is fishing or just having a good time ?

  3. Very explicit. As always by the way. Love them. I have a question about the spoding/leading rod. I have 4 caperlan 2.75lbs rods(85g) , if your in France you know what am I talking about and you know why i love them so much. I only use 3 of them for fishing. What do you think , could I use that for leading and spoding with braid ? I use a small spider spod , and only fill it up half way , so I don't jump over the 85 90g. I have casted a lot of times 110g leads , and everything was fine , no problem what so ever. Will I still have the accuracy and the sensitivity as with a dedicated spod rod ?

  4. Using amnesia defeats the use of braid and the mahin should be a conical knot 10 up n 6 back not 10 up n 10 bk

  5. Always love your contents mate, very informative and simple. Ps you love the 20 centremetres lol, only joking mate 😂

  6. Hi Matt. Hope your well. Can I ask what scissors you use for cutting braid? Many I have tried aren't great and leave the line frayed.

  7. Need to adk your advice and don't really want to put it here , is there a way to PM you ?

  8. Hi Matt, if I use the 4.5lb spod rod as the rod for all 3 will the rod be less sensitive for leading? I do spod but could probably get away with a 3.5lb if it will compromise sensitivity

  9. When I first started using a marker set up, I made my own boom for the lead, out of 6 inches of Kryston Quicksilver, a size 8 Big Eye Swivel, and a Quick Clip. I used a cork ball to act as a buoyancy aid, that I fixed to the smaller eye of the Big Eye Swivel. Also, a silicone swivel sleeve over the lead mounting and Quick Clip.

    I never experienced a tangle.

Then, I switched over to using the ready made marker kit booms for the lead. I used a Korda kit and it was bloody awful. It caused no end of tangles.
So, I went back to using my own Quicksilver booms with a big eye swivel, cork ball and clip. And I never experienced another tangle again.

So, it’s not your braid that’s causing the tangles. It’s the ready tied booms. You don’t need a mono leader.
