  1. It’s a 1 hour flight ✈️ from Launceston to Melbourne!!!🤣🤣🤣
As if anything is going to happen in that time and what it proved is that Clarkson has been a petulant child and Sam has been the adult in the way he’s always conducted himself!!!!

  2. I think it’s time Clarko goes. Has clearly lost the faith of the players and did not show enough against his old rival ? Where is his passion ? Kaine needs to be considered for coach because he has hard edge and not clarko doesnt

  3. Bang on Kane, before anyone starts whinging about the kangaroos missing Davies Uniacke and Sympkin, remember we are missing arguably our most important player in Mitch Lewis, and one of our most experienced in Windgard. Also keep in mind for two rebuilding teams, of the teams yesterday hawthorn was significantly younger and less experienced than North and we still managed to win.

  4. The Tasmanian public Boycotted this match and who can blame them after the way the AFL has treated Tasmanians. Demanding that the Tax Payer builds a $750 Million Dollar Stadium with a Roof. If that is not corporate Welfare then what is?

  5. MAYBE Clarko STOP sitting on the Boundary Line and get up and COACH the team . On that isnt any Official supposed to be so many metres away from the Boundary ?

  6. As a North supporter, no excuses & credit where its due! Hawks worked harder & for the entire game, were cleaner with the ball & smarter going inside 50.. Seemed Clarko was prepared to lose in the middle if it meant giving experience to Powell & Phillips instead of moving a bigger body (i.e. Ziebell ) in there.

Our real improvement should come in improved
percentage this year, after 2 wooden spoons Clarko isnt going to work miracles in 1 year.

  7. These next few rounds will balance out the ladder a bit. A lot of these top teams had really cruisy starts to the seasons against bottom 10 teams. Dons and Roos especially. So Top 4 is looking like Swans, Dees, Pies, Blues so far.

    1. The Pies are the most credible top team thus far having played against Cats, Tigers and Port. Having smashed the Lions, Port was looking scary, but they were snapped back to reality (totally not an Eminem reference) with a smashing. The Richmond game was the roughest game so far for the Pies and proof that their fast pace and chaotic form of play can be slowed down. However, it also showed how well the Pies can still play with their skills around ball movement and clearances. They have proved to be the team to beat so far.

    2. Swans are looking good too but not as highly credible as they've only played against Suns and Hawks. Neither team could score much against the Swans resulting in a totally inflated percentage on the ladder but the game with the Dees will surly even that out a bit. If the Swans beat the Dees they'll prove that they can still contend against the top sides.

    3. Carlton have so far drawn against Richmond, had a good win against the Cats and nearly screwed the game against the giants. Another decent win will give them great credibility. However, they need to really bump their efforts in order to stay in the top 4/8 and not have a repeat of last year.

    4. Dees have had a decent start this year starting with a thrashing of the Dogs. However, they shouldn't be ruled out from their only loss which was a close game against the inconsistent Lions which they swiftly made a comeback after the famous Gabba blackout in Q4. The game with the Swans should be seen as a chance to prove their credibility and cement their place as a top contending side.

note I’ve left out the Saints because they’ve yet to prove themselves against a top contending side. They have a really cruisey start this seasons and are playing the Suns next. We’ll see if they’re worth their salt in R5 against the Pies.

These are my hot takes. Don't be triggered this is only my observation.

  8. Also nothing is being staid of Clarkson completely gutting Hawthorns coaching and performance staff. He has now taken in total eight; senior coaching, player development, administration, sports conditioning and player recruitment staff to North Melbourne!

  9. Don't underestimate Sam Mitchell's coaching abilities to get this kind of a result from his players. This may have only been against North Melbourne, but last season a Sam Mitchell coaching masterclass brought about a big upset win on Easter Monday against eventual premiers Geelong. The thing to note is that the 2 coaches that Mitchell achieved these wins against have arguably been the AFL's 2 most successful coaches since the turn of the millennium. He is currently 1 up against both Chris Scott and Alastair Clarkson, and has now got the opportunity to go 2 up on Chris Scott as soon as next week. He is every chance to achieve a second win against Chris Scott, given the shakiness of Geelong at present.

  10. But did he really.. North probably would have lost to any team with the outs they had.. They were major outs, the captain the two best midfielders included in that the new captain, their top intercepting defender. All the playmakers were benched.

  11. The Hawks have the wood on us. From the time Jordan Lewis hit Goldstein we've been scared of the Hawks

  12. Isn’t this the same panel that we’re saying the Hawks were tanking and put themselves in a position to lose all their games? Jeepers.

  13. This mind set is so stupid. If Sam was the coach of Nth Melb he would have lost lol. If you don't have the talent lol. If Clarko coached St Kilda his whole career he would have nil premierships coaching the same way he did at Hawthorn. It's so stupid. Give me the best players to make a super team, no coaching experience i would win a bunch of premierships lol whoops doesn't make me a great coach. If i coached the same way with the worst players in history in my team lol i would have nil premierships. So stupid this mind set with coaches. Sam did not get one over Clarko lol he just had better talent lol than the oposition. (The norm not the exception, re, upsets)
Watch the dumb get triggered lol.

  14. Too many ums the players were um confused um listen you knuckle head when I say um I mean um

  15. Its footy like this that makes my hawks tanking so hard to see. We have more passion and sheer will to win in our game than multiple top 8 sides right now despite our young list. And a man as competitive both as a player and coach in mitchell wouldnt even entertain the thought of tanking. Mitchell and Omeara were tough outs, but they allowed the likes of future stars like newcombe, day, worpel and moore a bit more mid time. And Gunston wasnt a planned out. He left on his own so that hurt. But were playing competitive footy against great sides and my bet is on us making finals before north, no matter how long it takes. And Sam Mitchell IS without a doubt the man to get us there
