So typically I tee my driver about 1 inch or index first digit for driver into the wind, and down wind about 1/4 inch higher. irons where it looks like it rests on top of the grass. Looks like you are irons are about 1/2 inch up. I'd probably hit that too high in the face. I do like teeing it lower. I know I lose a bit of distance, but any error is less punishing left or right. But I think I will give this a try and see what happens during some practice rounds.
Irons you want to tee it up about 2mm. Hit down on it baby and watch that compressed ball fly like an eagle.

I use pink for my driver, red for everything else (3H down).
I do my irons the same as this video but on pink tees for Driver, will be switching to orange now
A few years ago you were talking with Daniel and he said us amateurs should tee our irons higher when on the tees. I’ve been doing that and I have been hitting my irons off the tees much better.

I remember years ago someone asked Chi Chi Rodriguez why he teed the ball on par 3s. He said because the air provided the least amount of resistance.
Liam, I learned to tee up my Driver, or my 13° 3 wood, when entered a few Amateur Long Drive events. Now…I wasn't hitting my ball 400+ yards, I did win a couple of " Longest Drive " Amateur events in the 360 to 380 yard range.
I use Lignum Tees and tried simply goin one space higher, 3 lines not 2, with Driver and it made a big difference. Bought shortest Lignum for Par 3 teeing with 5W and 6i worked a treat.
I use a pink on most drives and a short tee on par 3s – but not as high as the short castle.

Strange. I have watched pro golf for decades, and I have NEVER seen a pro tee up that high for irons.

Seems opposite of everything I've heard from say golf channel , teachers etc. I've gotten lower over the years as has my handicap. Maybe I'll jack it up tomorrow and see what happens
i tee my Driver the same as i always have, but i have been teeing my irons up higher. The result is a much more consistent shot. Im a 20 handicap, so anything to help is appreciated.

Castle Tees are for bed wetters, that “pro” if you can call him that only uses castle Tee because his rotation is terrible 😅

No idea what the different colors are but I use a 4" tee for drivers and tee up my iron shots a little extra. Oh, and my irons are an inch long and D8 to E0 swing weight. Really helps because the shafts are graphite.
Jus started with the orange tees and bit difference, not necessarily longer but more accurate!!
Have to say rasing my tee hight improved my game no end fro driver to irons. Was 23 hc in March down to 17 mid june. Love it

I tried teeing up the irons, from a green to red castle tee. No fats/thins and ball flight was nice and high, so will probably do this in all future rounds. Although, watching the pga and in particular the par 3s. I don't see them teeing it up as high as red castle (this is from TV, so not 100% reliable)

What colour tees are you using???
When I watch the pros they will often ‘tee’ off, if teeing off with an iron, with no tee.
Would have liked to see closer camera shots to see actual tee height.

Always tee’d up my drivers so I catch it on the upswing.

I was taught originally to use a high tee for my driver – used to use the wooden ones with a blue stripe on it. Used to consistently melt the driver for miles using it. Now moved to a yellow banded tee and my driver is a little wild, and now tops out around 250 to 270 carry.
For irons, I've always teed them up. Wasn't told to do it, I just always thought you had to use a tee in the tee box! So been used to it from day 1. I know the pro's do it and you once asked Mr Gavins about it… the answer was simple, you get a better contact off the middle of the club face.
You should also get some extra distance as you will naturally stand up ever so slightly higher so the extra length should increase the club head speed a tad. I used my 6 iron off the tee today and manged to skelp it 215 yards! The ground was dry but my 6 iron normally tops out around 180 when hit clean, although I have on a few occasions hit the thing sweetly and soared past the 200 mark.
Yes liam off the tee , over the playing of a hole you can not do this, only off the tee, UNLESS YOU CAN HIT A IRON 400 PLUS YARDS OFF THE TEE,
Liam for me driver is INTO WIND WHITE CASTLE OFF THE TEE , USUALLY ITS PINK CASTLE TEE , ORANGE CASTLE I HIT HEAD HIGH AND TOP MOST SO DO NOT USE MUCH. PAUL
Paul again liam , MY 3W MY 5W AND MY 7W OFF THE TEE OR ANYWHERE ELSE NO TEE .
Cause it makes u take dull advantage of the loft of the club in getting another plus more loft than hitting down on it from a fairway lie

Pete your just not getting the club thru the ball try hitting a imaginary ball in front of yours make u swing thru the shot mate no don't retire pete
Maybe they play a lower lofted club i can see that guys but it would take a bet of practice to figure it out might be something to it
Case u could hit up on it get the same results but why not just use the right club for the distance trick shot 😂 there just showing off where did they teach u that one grade school😂
I watched this video a couple of days ago. Tried on saturday and again today Using a normal short tee pushed down. Not as low as I used to and it has definitely improved my iron tee shots. I sometimes change between pink and orange castles for driver. But at the moment I'm hitting driver well from the pink castle so avoiding the orange. (At the moment) !

I went to about 15 pga events, pros have the ball so low on tees, that you cant even see they have a tee
McIlroy have it so low, that he must use his shoes to kick it out with his clubs.
If I could use a tee in the fairway I would be on tour.

Hi Liam I tried a high tea for my driver but unfortunately all I got was a sky wood with some snow on the ball not for me I’m back onto the wooden teas more consistent out of the middle of the club 🥃🥃

Pink tee for standard driver shot (fade) orange tee for driver where I want to rip it. Small green for everything else I don’t like them to high like in this video as it rides to far up the face. Tour pros only tee it up slightly too

I like to T my irons 1/2 “ my woods maybe a little higher but I take divots with my woods so about the same as irons. My driver has been ball only 1/4 above driver sitting on ground. I have been working on higher driver T and floating driver, I get more distance and height but have a miss that is less appealing than a low chaser. Golf what a game .
