THOUGHTS ON THE GAME ? 🇿🇦
English dictionary should the definition of the word "Rapid" to Grant Williams
The match was okay. Got the job done.
SA need to make that first 20mins of dominance show on the score board. Overall both teams really nullified each other. Felt a bit like a Wales v SA match.
Eben going off is a concern, but looked okay. Saw a player land on his leg. So think it was just tweaked, if that was reason.
Apart from the front row replacements and Williams, not enough impact from the bench overall. Really missed Kleyn and Kwagga. Guess RG coming in early also impacted things.
Wiese, Mostert, PSDT, Siya were just continuous work horses.
Libbock changed his kicking line again, so seems inconsistent with his set up. If he gets that right then much better.
DDA passing was not great. Otherwise was good. Kriel lucky head contacted was deemed okay or not reviewed.
Think our starting line up was good individually, but the combinations seemed flat. Set pieces were inconsistent. Scrum in the second half much better.
Agree about taking more drop goals. We have Faf, Libbock and Willemse as viable kicking options. Why not keep the scoreboard ticking along. Especially when we bully into the opponent's half. Make them desperate.
Hopefully enough here to build momentum on. And enough squad rotation.
Statement indeed!
If only our (se ma soe) government performs like the Bok players….Wow!
Absolutely brilliant
Bokke!!
How satisfying was that? In every department we were superior.
We don't just have a bomb squad for the forwards, but also one for the backs. Especially that gem of a scrum half with the best surname in the world, Grant Williams. A bit disappointing performance by Willie le Roux when he came on, but he provided the extra body.
A special shout out to Manie Libbok! Did you see that Ronaldinho, no-look cross kick pass to Kurt-Lee Arendse for the second try.
Scotland were tough, we shut down Finn pretty good. We got lucky to not get a red card. Ref inconsistency went our way this time but it’s a sad World Cup if this problem keeps happening.
Other teams can hang with us for a bit but it’s only a matter of time before we strangle them.
Anyone else preferring ABs in the QF over France?
I wish people would just get over the alternate kits. Why must people always find something to moan about? An alternate kit has NEVER been green and gold. Literally never. It’s always white and green. Also, world rugby’s new directive that one team needs to play in a white kit to accommodate colour blind people means that we need to have an alternate kit. I honestly cannot understand all the moaning about it. At least our kit looks a bit different to the others boring white kits. I personally love the colour and the tribal design. Finally we have a kit that reflects our culture as South Africans like Australia’s indigenous kit.
Finally, we’re on a 5 match winning streak. We’re looking good. Focus on that and dry those panties rather than moaning about the kit.
Strong performance from the Boks, what the hell are they eating I want to try some, whats in those Boerewors, crocodile, great white, ostrich, have I missed something??
Well you not alone about springboks jersey , I always feel comfortable with Green and Gold
Sous has to start from now on and they need to give my boy GW more time on the park.
So just your face then.
"The freaks are out!" Omg that song in rugby 08!
Bro youre 100% with the drop goals. In this pool, drop goals are the way to go. Drop goals vs IRE.
6:3 at half time against the World champions #1 team vs #5 team, all the stats suggested a complete wipe out of the Scots, they did far better, ABs were masacred 33:7 by SA, but lets make it clear SA have 450k registered rugby players and top 14 pro teams, vs Scotland with 40k registered rugby players and only 2 pro teams, it was a David vs Goliath game, Scotland is more used to playing football Rugby in Africa is the top sport same in NZ.
