The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 – September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Poland’s Iga Swiatek claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was both players’ first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another historic tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. Ben Shelton is on the wrong way to establishing himself as major threat with this cocky attitude. He needs to learn very important lesson in sports and in life in general: Never disrespect your opponent. Novak took all his opponents seriously, regardless of their ranking. The kid took opposite approach, and disrespected players who were in the same league with him, and even more, he disrespected the Goat. He needed to be served a piece of humble pie….

I am so glad that Djoker put this obnoxious and disrespectful brat back in his place and forced him to eat some humble pie, his celebrations whenever he won a point were cringeworthy to say the least.
Djoker cleaned him up the first 2 sets and up to 4-2 in the 3rd set. Djoker got sloppy in the 2nd half of the 3rd set but thank goodness he finished off this punk in straight sets.
Loved the savage celebration by Djoker in the end, Shelton deserved that being thrown back in his face.
Maybe Shelton dialed wrong number, but he got the one he wanted to talk to hahahah
