The Hero Indian Open begins on Thursday. It is India’s premier Golf tournament and is sanctioned by the European Tour which is currently fighting a pitched battle with Liv Golf. Shubhankar Sharma is the highest-ranked Indian in the field and is expected to challenge for the trophy come Sunday. Sharma will play at the British Open in July and he opened up about his return to the hallowed stage in a conversation with Sports Editor Digvijay Singh Deo. He also believes that LIV Golf has hyped up the sport.
