  1. Thomas 6-2-1 Ryder cup record is way better than Tigers.

All the Americans pad their records with the residents cup. The international team still has an inferiority complex or something.

I work with my girls, one committed to a d1 scholarship and the other in better position.

Coaching your kids is challenging but it also has advantages, which the Thomas’ have mastered.

Patience is a big one. I’m not the most patient man but I’m always there for my kids no matter how much they test my patience. Same with the Thomas’. Same with the Shaufflees.

On the other hand this mom was telling us a story how this famous coach whom worked with a former number 1 Korean lady started helping her son, he showed the kid a couple things. When they met the second time the kid had reverted to his old ways and the big coach said ‘we are done working together.’
The boy has become a good player but not because of that guy.

Alex U did an amazing job breaking down JTs real woes. People tell me JT is hitting it bad but it almost feels the same as always. It’s easy to drop statistically from near the top to the middle.

But JTs putting has gone from statistically average to being almost the worst; and that does become a lot more noticeable.

It is very possible no putting coach makes JT better on the greens…which isn’t saying much. If he wants to be great he should go to UEDA imo; whom won’t change his style but will get JT using tech better to make better passes through the ball his way.

JTs dad is a master of letting Jt swing his way, and when its all clicking it’s one of the best swings ever. It really is. It is healthy for JT to be less dependent on his full swing.

But it’s hard to get excited about JT for the Ryder cup because usually the guys putting the best shine, and right now we would be lucky to get average putting from JT.

  2. JT is a fighter and I admire him. Personally to me, he is going through what Jordan Spieth went through in swing transition. JT hands are high and more upright in the backswing not on "plane" with the shaft like Rahm so that complicates the transition for square contact. Once he finds his accuracy with his irons, his putting will improve exponentially. I could be wrong, but it helped Jordan. Zach made the right choice for team comradery and experience.

  3. JT is one of the best young talents to come along in years. Pros go through slumps. Happens all the time. JT will be fine and he will excel during the Ryder Cup. This young man is clearly a future Hall of Famer.
