  1. For years I tried plumbers hosel putters with no success, even though I loved the look. What actually works for me and fitting confirms is a Flow neck 60* toe hang. I have several with that style, Blades, and Mallets. Best one is a Champions choice, flow neck Mallet followed by a Toulon Las Vegas flow neck. Key for me is that neck AND a largish grip AND a flatter lie angle. It just works. Get fit and don't let someone force you into a $500 putter that doesn't work. I've seen guys putt with beat up paint chipped things that looked like crap and they made everything.

  2. Plenty of good and usable putters at Good Will…or any flea market….2 to 5 bucks….I found my putter in the weeds . some guy threw it away after missing a put. Made in Franklin, Tenn…Colin Montgomery won a tournament with it….was hot for a month or two…:-)

  3. I started with an odyssey white hot blade putter and kept blasting putts long, so I switched to a Cleveland HB #4 35” and my putting increased, I later realized my putter was to long so I swapped to a mizuno claw putter 34”!! It was the best choice I ever made. My p.p.h dropped drastically. A: the forgiveness of a claw B: the shorter length 35 to 34” I could maybe even go 33.5 cause I’m only 5’8-9

  4. What made a big difference in my putting was my grip style. I switched to left hand low with a straight back and through stroke. It get's me pretty close. Also a bigger grip helped me keep my wrists more steady. I have a Cleveland Huntington Beach Mallet 10.5 c with a P2 putter grip.

  5. Need to keep liberal celebrities out of golf, those people ruin everything. Next you’ll see end racism painted on the courses.

  6. Watching Brad faxon give a outrageous putting lesson is a must if y’all want to putt better

    Ping Anser 34”

    Winn, midsize

    Best putter I’ve ever!

    ✌️

  7. These videos have helped me so much to understand my putter. Thanks brother, keep up the great work!!!!

  8. Makes a big difference. I have about 6 putters. Mix of Newport 2.5, Ping B60 c.1996; Modern Ping Prime Tyne slant neck, Odessy 2 ball, Phantom X 8.5, bit use a Del Mar which of all putters I found is the one I most constantly find the centre of the face. By association distance control is better and quite simply I take fewer putts because of it!

  9. to answer your title question Absolutely. Just as important as Driver, Length of Putter is important as well.

  10. Its all about confidence putting is almost all upstairs. Above all else you gotta go with gets your enegry and blood flowing. Nate Edwardson Golf told me thats why he uses a Good Good putter he loves their shafts

  11. I putt with an old Odyssey Rossie 2 mallet putter from the late 1990s, with the black Stronomic insert. It has a Super Stroke grip, it's cut down to 33 inches, and it putts like a dream.

  12. Mr shorthand, if you want to sell your lab putter please let me know, I would love to purchase it for my 16 yr old son
    Keep up the great work!

  13. Scotty Cameron is expensive all of the other you have there costs about the same and more than Scotty and plus Scott Cameron holds their value if you decide to trade it back

  14. Great advice. I’m usually to cheap to do a club fitting, but I did a putter fitting and it was money well spent.

  15. Great video Matt! I recently had a putter fitting done and it was very eye opening. I have more of a straight back straight through stroke so I moved from a toe down putter to a face balanced. It's improved my putting a lot!!

  16. Good info! Maybe a follow up video about which putting styles work best with what style of putter, not just the type of arc you have.
