They were actually originally called the Buffalo Bisons. Then they named them the Bills after Buffalo Bill Cody.
How do you not like josh Allen? He’s a down to earth farmer, with an arm like a cannon, but he’s the biggest and fastest dude on the field and he’s literally leaping over defenders and truck sticking dudes. Competitive as heck but also super nice off the field. He’s gunna win 13 games again, get 5000 yards again and over 40 tds again. He does it year in and out and makes up 85 percent of his teams offense. This guys going to get an mvp and a superbowl and Buffalo will immortalize him

Ok, as someone who was born and raised in Buffalo, and a long time Bills fan, I feel the need to straighten out this whole “Buffalo Bills” terminology! You guys are cracking me up! 😂
Ok, the area where Buffalo New York stands right now was at one point a French Trading post in the mid 1700’s. It is speculated that the word Buffalo was a misinterpretation of what the French may have called “Beau Fleuve” or beautiful river.
There is actually a Buffalo Bisons AAA baseball team in Buffalo.
