A stellar field heads to the Emerald Isle as the 2023 Horizon Irish Open takes place at The K Club. It returns to The K Club for the first time since 2016, when Rory McIlroy famously claimed the title as he eagled the final hole to win by three strokes and earn his first title as a professional golfer. McIlroy returns this week to the place where it all started. He’ll be feeling confident after securing automatic qualification to Luke Donald’s Ryder Cup Team and finished 3T in the TOUR Championship last week. Shane Lowry will also be among the field. He’ll be buoyant after being selected as a Captain’s pick by Luke Donald this week. He played well for a 12T finish at the Scottish Genesis Open in July. Adrian Meronk returns to defend his title this week. He made history as the first Polish winner on the DP World Tour by winning this event 12 months ago at Mount Juliet Estate. He’ll fancy his chances after claiming victory twice on the Tour this year. Others to look out for are Tyrrell Hatton, Min Woo Lee and Adam Scott.

  1. The Rory slurp-fest is more important than the event to the “DP” Euro Tour. Shows why this tour is a shell of its former self

  2. Rory, without doubt the best ball striker in the world, he needs to spend time with a short game guru, short game especially putting let's him down

  3. For all those whining that this is just Rory highlights just wait ..main highlights are coming ..PGA tour do exactly the same with round of the day by whoever plays it btw …and if you are a hater …WHYTF are you watching?…it says Rory highlights!

  4. Announcers having a hard time with math lol. Called the 360 lipout a 180 and said somehow 2 lipouts means he could have been 3 strokes better lol.

  5. I had my fingers crossed that Rory would stay second or maybe come first. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Rory for the title tomorrow ❤
