  1. This whole narrative of "doesn't even start for City" is quite stupid to me. Most players in this league, no matter how good they are don't start for City either. Does that mean they're bad players? Of course not.

  2. Guardiola always let’s good players go. There’s so many over the years. Some examples are Toure, Kroos, Leroy sane, eto, Torres. Only issue is PL clubs are desirable moves and have money and if he wants a good value that’s the only place to sell.

  3. pep guadiola can smell talent..he probably doesnt see enough in palmer to convince him to stay. Pep apart from samuel etoo or cancelo who he had problems with, rarely lets talent slip, everyone thought it was a mistake selling sancho but we see sancho is still not there yet unlike foden.

  4. I think its a decent buy. City have too much talent to try to give him game time. In Chelsea, he is competing against less proven EPL players so he has a bigger chance

  5. Chelsea are buying him because of Joe Shields, the former youth director/scout from City and that Cole is English and can play many different positions. He has the quality to play wide right, as a 10, as a false 9 and even in midfield. 45m sound's like alot of money until you realise he'll be on low wages compared to the other Chelsea players and that the market is gone crazy. Johan Bakayoko who scored 5 goal with PSV will be 40. Doku costed City over 50m. Sadly it must be said we dropped the ball in not getting Maddison at 40m, but that being said, we need someone in now and young. If you count it out, we now have 4 wide players in Sterling, Noni, Madryk and Cole. With Cole able to cover for Carney as a 10 or even play up top if Jackson and Broja are out. Depth is needed at this level and English players are a premium. Countless English players have been bought for crazy fees and little return…look at Michael Keane, Rodwell, Delph, Oxtail Chamberlain, Downing and the list goes on. Decent signing.

  6. Not paying too much when Arsenal paid 60 for a Chelsea flop in Kai and offered him the highest wages. Palmer cost peanuts when you compared the 2. One is younger and PL ready.

  7. Way too much. I think this fee is based on playing for pep and not the player palmer truly is

  8. Hey man, crazy idea, but if it's your job to be an analyst maybe educate yourself more about the current landscape of the sport so when you're asked a basic question like this, you won't have respond with "I don't know"

  9. He doesn’t start for Man City because of the abundance of top quality players they have. Palmer walks into every other midfield in the league.

  10. There's no more too much money, it's what the market demands. These has been guys resent the fact that they didn't have the opportunity to make as much should not be commenting on the market .

  11. Phil Foden is hsrdly given Ny gsme time in Man City (barring injuries to other players) and he's amazing. Pepe is a very particular coach and I wouldn't use no game time under him to judge a player. Having said that, I still don't get it from Chrlsea's perspective. I don't think that he's what we needed.

  12. Not really that strange. City would’ve kept him but Palmer wants to start his career. Chelsea at least gives him a chance to fight for playing time

  13. This transfer happened because Todd Boehly can't stop himself from buying whenever he sees a young player with great potential. Great ready to sell a bunch of players next year too.

  14. Chelsea knows better than Pep on Palmer future. As M City fan I feel that I can not accept this crazy transfer🤔

  15. Is the critique that “he doesn’t start for Man City so he can’t be that good” really a compelling argument? Man City is the best side in the world, it’s hardly a negative that he can’t break into the side regularly. He wants a team that allows him a better chance to break in and progress as a player (Maedueke is easier competition than Silva)
