Many golfers would have the 3 wood as the hardest club in the bag to use as it’s very often the longest and lowest lofted club that we have to hit from the fairway.
If you are struggling with this club like many other make 1 change and start crushing your 3 wood, and the best part, its a simple change too
In this video I share some data and some easy to follow concepts that can be a game changer when hitting fairway woods

Thoughts on cause of severe draw/hook with 3-wood? I hit Driver fairly straight with slight draw when playing well, but my 3-wood will crank left. All my setup seems correct. To prevent hook, I've adjusted my right hand to right / under shaft and I'll get a straighter ball flight. That adjustment doesn't make sense to me but seems to work. Would enjoy your thoughts?
Love this lesson Chris, especially where you bring it back to the tee box. I've felt intuitively that I have tee height options there, but it's great to see it described so well. Thank you!
So there is no forward shaft lean like with an iron at the set up?
Well done Chris 👏 😊
Chris Ryan has a model swing, sports fans! Who is not loving it?
Any changes for hitting out of the rough? I'm often hitting my 3 wood out of slightly taller grass which actually gives the ball a little fluff
How fast of a swing speed is needed to hit the 3 wood high
Probable reason for me detesting my 3 wood, definitely give this a go.
Great lesson Chris. Thank you.
