H.O.R.S.E. Golf Challenge | Drew vs Bella McCauley

A golf challenge among friends, such as a game of H.O.R.S.E., is a great way to create a competitive environment while also still working on key areas of your golf game.

In this video, 2nd Swing’s Drew Mahowald is joined by Isabella McCauley, a member of the University of Minnesota golf team for a friendly golf challenge of H.O.R.S.E. focusing primarily on wedge shots. The idea of the game is simple — one player calls a shot and must execute it. If he/she does, the opponent must replicate it or be given a letter. If the first player calls the shot and does not execute it, then it becomes the opponent’s turn to call the shot. First person to be given five letters loses.

Throughout the video, Drew and Isabella also discuss their wedge setups and discuss various strategies for dialing in wedge shots from a variety of distances.

  1. I feel like you were sandbagging Drew lol! I dont blame you, i would let her win too. You are a great speaker, always keep the conversations flowing. Thanks for the content!

  2. I have a launch monitor indoors and I think I use it more for shots under 100 yards than I do over 100. I use the "body part" method, similar to Bella. Things like Waist to Waist, Waist to Stomach, etc. I have a shot for every 5 yards from 30 to 110 yards using that method. More golfers need to do this yet very few do.
