The DP World Tour visits Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club for the Omega European Masters this week as Ryder Cup qualification ends for Team Europe. Thriston Lawrence returns to Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club this week to defend the Omega European Masters title he claimed last year in a play-off against Matt Wallace. He’s won the Investec South African Open Championship in December last year and grabbed the BMW International Open so far this season. Robert MacIntyre will be in the field this week to defend his qualification spot on Luke Donald’s European Ryder Cup Team. He’ll be feeling confident after making three top-10’s in his last five starts on tour. Two-time European Masters champion and previous US Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick is also in the field this week and has the opportunity to dislodge Tommy Fleetwood on the World Points List. The pair are separated by just 3.82 points following the PGA TOUR’s TOUR Championship last week, where Fleetwood finished in a tie for sixth and Fitzpatrick in a tie for ninth. Others to look out for are Yannick Paul, Victor Perez and Rasmus Højgaard.

  1. Well that settles the final Ryder Cup pick then, the main issue about Aberg was that he hadn't won a pro tournament yet, now he has so problem solved. Europe's team looking strong and on form, the Aberg pick now looks better than the Justin Thomas pick from the US – as long as Aberg can handle the pressure of huge Ryder Cup crowds…..

  2. Sure seems like he’s going to be top 50 in the world or better very very soon.
Watched him at the John Deere classic (probably his first and only time playing there 😂) and he was incredible. Super cool too, he took a picture with my nephews and gave them a signed ball, and signed glove!!!

  3. Time to learn how to pronounciate his name: Åberg is the Swedish spelling, and Å is pronounciated like o in order. So everybody say it with me…Oberg. Oooooberg.

  4. Remember playing my last few events on the Swedish golf tour in 2020. Everyone I played with spoke so highly about this young amateur and how it didn’t matter how anyone else played, because if he was on no one else could win.
Keep in mind this was during covid and some regular Swedish ET players teed up as well.

Also he was an amateur so everyone cheered for him because he couldn’t accept the price money any way.

  5. In SHIB we trust! Money is an issue that everyone has for a better and luxurious life, the basics was hard for me until I started trading Shiba Inu and am now earning $20,000 per week. 0:00

  6. My coach was obsessed with Nick Price's swing. I'd say in today's era, Aberg has a swing most similar to the great Mr Price.

  7. What a performance, what a player and what a guy👍👏!

I don’t remember if I have ever seen a more complete long game and he is just 23.. grounded and mature like rarely anyone in his age as well. If he improves his short game to upper Tour level he is soon a major champion.

And by the way.. yes he will be in Rome. And not only be there, I wouldn’t be surprised if he performs and will be used at McIlroy/Hovland/Rahm level. He is just that good.

  8. Fitzpatrick will never make a worse bogey in his career than the one on the par five 15th today.

  9. The
Man is absolute baller if we want to win the Ryder Cup him straka and nicolai have to go imo
Really hoping Luke is looking at the future squads of the Ryder cups not looking at the past I.e rose 🌹. Love rose but his time has passed time for the new guard to take over

  10. Well done Ludvig on your 1st DP world tour win. i really hope you make the Ryder Cup team

  11. Love to see a great young talent win, as well as being humble and in the moment. Although I'll be rooting for the USA in Rome. I hope he makes the team and plays well. He's one to keep your eye on in the future. Well done young man.👏👏👏
