  1. i honestly don't know where they found the confidence for such a stupid bet even i have landed shots from that far away and further AND I DONT EVEN PLAY BASKETBALL

  2. I made one off the building, onto the car, off the street lamp, off the top of David Robinsons head nothing but net, and I didn't get paid.

  3. This is wrong, my neighbor when I was in Jr high( he was in highschool) got picked from our local footlocker to take a 3 point shot at the all star game( I think) to win a million bucks. He got coached by Dan Marley on shooting & think he may have even been on the Jr Varsity basketball team. He went to the line & pressure must have been panic inducing cuz he took the shot and air balled it😢. Live w/that. You didn’t dink it off the rim or brick it, you fucking air balled it on national tv w.everyone in ur home town watching. His house was maybe 50-100 yards away from mine. He was older so never knew him but dammit

  4. Mike Hoban was my neighbor in Strongsville Ohio. I remember his air ball. I was in Jr high & he lived about 50-100 yards from my front door.

  5. I have never heard this story before. But immediately after hearing about the severe pressure directed at the Bulls, I had guessed that was the reason. It’s hard to put a price on bad publicity ; but in this case $1M (technically less than half that due to PVM) was simply worth them paying off.

  6. Of course the insurance company wouldn't pay. They are out to make money, not friends. That is how ALL insurance companies do business. Legalized, and mandated, gambling.

  7. Getting a million dollars over 20 years? Might as well just get a mediocre job and also have something to do during the day and something for a resume lol

  8. Dang, 2 hours just for a air ball is insanely sad. I guess you can say the… pressure weighed in heavy on his hands.

  9. That’s like winning the lottery just for them to tell you that you needed to have a diploma and haven’t been unemployed no more than 3 months or something stupid.

  10. Some of these athletes are pretty good people. When I got laid off a front office job for an MLS team due to covid, many players pooled up money to pay all of the laid off workers a months salary.
