Eagles announce they won't give Araiza a chance, and are signing Siposs to Practice Squad.
He's innocent of the SA. But the words SA is now part of him and the NFL is afraid of those words. It's completely not fair to this kid but that's how the league thinks. Oh, what if we sign him and he assaults some woman? Crazy
Araiza isn't on an NFL roster because he is a PUNTER. Even though the allegations aren't true, its proven not worth the baggage or media given his position's actual importance in the game. If he was a QB, WR, Edge etc with the same amount of positional talent and same allegations, he'd be on a team in a heartbeat. Sucks for him given his false allegations ended his career before it even began
I wonder if Araiza is out of football shape, or if there is something else.
Do we lose a roster spot if we sign him and something else comes up forcing us to release him?
If not, if he’s in shape, I would still work him out at the very least to shut up all of the fans.
But from everything I’ve read about him, he’s been cleared unless there is something unrelated to the first issues he faced.
I’ll trust Howie and his group, but man it seems like a no brainer from this side.

I think Ben Vansumeran could become a hidden gem if they give him a chance. At the very least he would be a great special teams guy with his speed
I think people forget just how many stupid penalties Barnett commits(especially personal fouls) since he pretty much missed all season last year. It WILL cost us a meaningful game.

I just don't get the reluctance to bring in Araiza. He has been cleared of wrongdoing. I wanted him last December. We would have been Super Bowl champions if we would have signed him.
