  1. The only bad thing about putting a big weight on a line like that is it the cat fish swims you out to really deep water it will pull the whole floater down and you'll never be able to find it

  2. I have just started following you and I have seen a couple of your videos where you say there is hair in the catfish bait. In case no else has told you, that is cattail fibers used to hold the bait together. All you have to use on this type of bait is a bare treble hook and not the one with a sponge or tube. Good fishing and God bless.

  3. In the north they set tipups on styrofoam in the summer I wonder how you would like them in comparison

  4. My dad used to take his friend, me and my brother to irrigation canals near the Mexican border and by Falcon Lake. We would bait and drop over 100 jugs made from used Freon bottles with cotter pins soldered in the top and set various depths with treble hooks with various baits. We went up the canal about 4 or 5 miles in the morning to drop them, go back to camp and have lunch, then later go about a mile up to check and start gathering them. In one weekend we would catch 100 to 150 nice channel cats. Those were the most memorable fishing trips we had. We always brought extra coolers to ice them down. Lots of campsite crispies to be had, too. Much appreciate you bringing back those old (early ‘70s) memories. I was in my teens then, now I’m 65. There were no such thing as pool noodles back then, but I like this method too. Bless you and the family…

  5. You guys all over complicate "jugging" the name literally says all you need to know, save a couple plastic milk jug's, tie a line to handle, sharpie your info on it and toss it out… use the K.I.S.S. method, keep it simple stupid.

  6. Not knocking that method of fishing but the enjoyment of fighting the fish is my favorite part of it but when it comes to dinner whatever it takes is good

  7. Lucky man! She goes fishing, cooks, and good looks!! Good for you!! She goes fishing with you!!! Happy for you both!

  8. Hey man, I’m glad to see y’all are doing well. I remember when you had the brain tumor removed and I had hoped at that point you would make a full recovery. Seems like you’re doing great and I glad to see it. I’m just down the road always in Montague county. I really need to get out to lake Fork and do some fishing. From me and my family we wish y’all the best going forward. Take care and wet a line.

  9. My goth you tie a fishing line with a hook on it to something that floats and reenforce it with tape. Simply ground breaking.

  10. To keep the line from going through the noodle, try putting a heavy duty zip tie around it then another layer of tape over it. Pool noodles at Dollar tree by the way may be cheaper.

  11. I use the cheap pool noodles and put gray plastic conduit in the middle of it. Pre drill your holes to tie your line to and I can't remember what kind of glue I used but make sure it works on plastic and dries slowly. It's cheap, easy, and extremely durable.

  12. Dude, doesn’t that boat have a 400 lb capacity??? Probably 250 between you and OSG but her bracelets are probably pushing 200lbs on their own! Best dressed woman in the fishing business!

  13. First and Foremost you 2 make an amazing example of what an American couple should be. Your both pretty awesome.
On tiny thought I had for these simple fishing Jugs ( depending on your regulations of course ) is on the top near your stick and a band of reflective tape that way if you loose 1 you can go back at night with a spot light and it would be much easier to find it.
Even if the fish got away youd just be leaving less trash

  14. A way to help get the line through the noodles would be to use a small bell sinker. Make a large enough loop through the sinker eye and drop it through the tube.

  15. I’m new to your channel. What does OSG stand for? I believe that is what you call your wife. Thanks

  16. Cheapest googan squad chin @ junk products pimp that Garbage to kids at a inflated price

  17. Fishing with drop lines , trolling with boards or anything else is not fishing in my world. Even live bait is borderline in my estimation I like to give the fish every opportunity and bending the barb down or only using artificial baits does that.

  18. This fool still doing these teenager style thumbnails. Grow up ffs. Only 15% of his subscribers watch him now days.

  19. I’ve been watching you on Googan Squad for a year now and I’m just now watching and subscribed to your channel. I see why you have over a million subscribers your video is great so detailed and clean very informative and professional!

  20. Do you need a special permit to use jug lines?
are your floats labeled with your info?

  21. Jug lines, we didn't use noodles. Nope, was nothing but the best at the time. Circle hook, half ounce lead. 6' – 12' of mason twine attached to a 20oz Coke cola bottle, glow stick inside the bottle to see it at night.

  22. You make that not differently than what I make and I have been using that not for 40 years trying my hooks to my line I have not made a pool noodle float you're not works fabulous for everything that I have done I don't use other fancy knots trying Tae them when it is 0° out when blowing 50 miles an hour with the snow blowing sideways that's the not that I use

  23. I do like the pvc style tip up ones; but, for what you were going for this is excellent. Inexpensive, quick and really easy to make and fish with.

  24. Could you cut a short piece of pvc say 3-4 inches and glue in hole on bottom to keep line from digging into noodle?
