  1. I wouldn’t totally write Stanton off only because I feel like he can still be useful on a pennant chasing team. When Stanton is right at the plate he can carry a team offensively and he’s usually good in the postseason so it isn’t like Stanton is completely useless. His injury prone situation is concerning tho

  2. Stanton's swing is just awesome. Even with the downfall, you know he can still blast a 500' HR any time.

  3. kinda absurd title dude hit at or above his career OPS every single year of his career except this year where he is 33 and battling injuries

  4. Shut up about judge having the home run record. Barry bonds is the home run king. MLB let players take steroids & made billions off the players taking steroids. Bonds just shoved there hypocrisy down the MLBs throats. If they actually pitched to him that year instead of walking him 200 times he would have had over a hundred home runs. Lots of cheaters in the hall of fame. Gay lord perry used a spit ball

  5. Giancarlo Stanton is a classic example of a streaky player. Consistency is one of the most underrated skills in all of sports. On the other hand, a player like Cal Ripken who started over 2000 straight games while consistently producing good numbers and defense really shows how rare his record really is. Possibly the hardest record to ever beat.

  6. The other day watching him try to run home… hes fragile. Is he built of glass ? If running the bases is this complicated of a manner… things cant be good behind the scenes.

  7. Am convinced the best baseball hitters we're under 6'3 every other taller player barely plays due to their height and body breaking down.

  8. Hey guys! Due to some small issues we had to cut out a couple sections of the video in post (what was originally 0:501:04, 4:244:33 and 6:527:08) but all that was said there is that Stanton was frustrated with himself for missing games this season, he had career best discipline in 2017 and that he played just 40 games from 2019-2020, though he did put up a 130 OPS+ in that time. Hope you enjoyed the vid!

  9. I can’t wait until he makes a similar Aaron Judge video in 2025

  10. When he didn't run and got thrown out at home. He runs like that all the time. I'm a red Sox fan and on their telecasts they show Stanton jogging on the bases, yes network doesn't show it. You would think if you're so bulked up you can't run you're doing something wrong

  11. You left out a really crucial part. When Stanton got beamed in the head by a fastball. He was never the same after that

  12. Came back to yankee excuseclown this post again Stanton just hit another HR 🤡 tied with Tatis, Goldschmidt, & Trout how’s this a decline not even the biggest star on the team

  13. Modern training strategies and the legal supplements these athletes are eating are what cause some of them to just inexplicably break down. Its not just Stanton, there are players like him peppered all over the map. Byron Buxton is a good example. And pitchers are so fragile nowadays they aren't allowed to throw over 100 pitches in a start, and most managers get the trigger happy when they are in the 80 or 90's. Modern players might be better than ever but they're also the most fragile ever.

  14. So these videos are basically someone reading off the baseball card stats and adding some context here and there.

  15. When we signed him I didn’t want him at all with the YANKS he’s an absolute liability playing the field, also he’s injured every other game and his swings are so ugly I don’t care the 1 time out of 60 he hits it 500 ft he fckin sucks in every way

  16. I like videos that don't just read stats to me. The title was alluring but just using analytics tells me little about the "BRUTAL DECLINE" of a player. A player is more than their stats, and I wanted to gain some insight on an exceptional ballplayer but got only stats. Stats are great but I wanted more to warrant the "BRUTAL" title.

  17. I hate his "new" swing…Cloed stance , no legs or hips into his swing – looks so awkward and stiff armed.

  18. None of these mega contracts ever works out for the team. When will these GMs and owners learn?

  19. To trade him, yankees must take on $10 to $15mil per year for the rest of his contract . Marlins has already been contributing another $10mil every year. The Yankees must move him off the team asap.

  20. i think it was 2017 he got hit in the face with a pitch so one of those injury seasons really wasn't his fault

  21. As ive watched the game i appreciate players like wade boggs, tony gywnn, ripken jr and rose. Those guys were consitant evey year.

  22. Stanton really started to not perform well as he used to after the 2022 all star break.. he had a great first half though
