Won’t you get more consistency when you just change your setup and keep the same swing?
Personally I feel both hands control the swing. Not one hand is dominant
i do it with my leadhand, when i play porely i let my trailhand take oven and make me strangle the grip with my leadhand

When I played lots of golf, I tried to allow my hands to be relatively passive through the swing on full shots and control the swing with the large muscles of my torso.
